OGOGORO (who And What I Am) (2) (3) (4)
Ogogoro by warristanley99(m): 10:46am On Feb 06, 2018 |
"Ogogoro" Waving to the bushes, Digging the earth with toes, Walking like wave of the sea, And to lay beds on gutters. Ogogoro biko, ogoro mi gwo. Chorus of night worshippers, Stomachs are filled with praises, Praises in the realm of another spirit. Okika have no mercy for worshippers, He beat and rub them on the ground. Those that did vigil all night long, That put their wives on lonely beds. In the morning they come home barking, And some others comes wasting the day. You exalt men very high in a moment, In another, you will rub them on dust, And make men like no family, When the women have asked, You squeeze your face to take it in, How come you derive your best pleasure? Ogoro will never cease to flow, Kaikai, are you what to worship this night? Because your men are already at the rendezvous, Checking out the list of today's worship, Mc Dowell, hennesy, martell and jack is there, They are there to collect their offerings and tithes, They are all sons and daughters of ogogoro. -WARRI STANLEY 10 Likes 3 Shares

Can you really blame me? Can you call me the devil? Is it really my fault? Can the inability of men to list for me be on me? Yes I am alchohol I am the liquid that make men glad I am the spirit that makes a party fun I am the gift of the gods I take away sorrow Replace it with nothingness Even though temporal, Atleast a decent night you get Yes, I am a religion (maybe a cult) And my worshippers devout But can you blame me? I am too pleasurable to avoid. Worship me, Write songs (though horribly sang) to praise me Write poems in my honor I am Ogogoro; the one true religion. Even your gods, old and new love me I give you courage to statrt a new day And yes I am destructive But like hell, I am pleasurable. 15 Likes 3 Shares |

Op, your concept is good. However, you need to make your poem more 'poem-like'. There should be a beauty in your poem which you can achieve by your choice of words or the way you use the words to convey your message. This differentiates your poem from a normal article or essay. You didn't particularly display this at the later lines of your poem. Good effort though. 2 Likes |

warristanley99: REJOiNDER OGoGoRo I am a two edged sword I serve two purpose: To make man and gods happy To torment my abusers! You call me a religion? Or you call me a Cult I am no religion nor Cult I am a messenger of good and evil. Only my abusers see the evil Those who use me well gain from me I strengthen and bolden them I remove their shame and replace with glory Paul the Apostle admonished his boy Timothy to use me for his stomach pain He even compared me with the Clean Ghost! How on earth do you demonize me? Those who abuse me I kill Yet I kill them not but their lack of contentment I am strong and powerful I am cool but dangerous. I have mercy on women who use me as medication I heal their blood after birth How many have I spared from death? I am a healer! I am Ogogoro! I am a double edged sword I am a spirit that possesses you And bring out your real Self! Away from me hypocrite! Away from me lily livered I shall expose your true nature And make you dance naked at the Market Square! 4 Likes |

Poem Title: OGOGORO . Written By - Yinka . I Am Ogogoro, Only Few People Would Understand This, That My True Intention Is Not To Corrupt Behavior Or Constitute Nuisance To Societies. . Most People Use Me For Pleasure, And In The Process, Abuse Me. Many Of Those Who Use Me Confess Their True Intention, You Should Take Me Once And See. . Have Solved So Many Problems, Also Helped In Pregnancy Deliveries. Have Been The Cause Of Many Problems, My Stories Are Being Told In Most Nigerian Movies. . I Exist In Many Types, My Relations Are The Local Gin And Palm Wine, Have Been Rebranded And Re-defined. Against My Will, I Have Taken Lives. . Do Not Use Me If You Wish To Get High, You Might Lose Your Sense Of Good Sight. Do Not Consult Me If You Are Tired Of Life, I Will Gladly Show You 1000 Ways To Die. . Parent's Advices Their Child Against Me, Ogogoro Is Bad, You Should Never Taste It. Not Even The Local Gin, It Has No Benefit. You Can Do With Soft Drink, Do Not Create A Like For Gin. . I Am Ogogoro, The Cause Of Many Unwanted Pregnancies, My Existence Has Rendered Many Heart Broken. These Are What People Say About Me. . But, I Am Ogogoro, A Friend Loved By Many, Showed With Care, Trust And Money. Agbero's Do Not Get Inspired Without Me. Without Me In Social Event, What Will The Adult Drink? . . . . . OGOGORO Some call me ogogoro, Some call me shekpe, I satiate the thirst water can't, And make once noble men pee on their pant. I am the masseuse of sorrow, And an harbinger of joy, Though too much of me put men to gallow, And I am ever present when the gods ploy. I am ogogoro the revealer of secret, And a reveler of sort, With me men can never be discreet I make reality and dream come short. Take some shot of me today, And watch me transform, If u smile when taking me, Ogogoro was never in that shot. |

Step after step, let's swirl our waist while swaying our onlookers off their feet's with our meticulous moves... We're the young dancers bearing the flag of Africa. Innocence is painted on our faces at present, but how long would it last with the atrocities pandering across the continent. How long would we survive the tide. This is our cry - a cry for peace, as we're scared. We're still fingerlings funding routes of survival in the ocean of life, please Africa, don't choke us up. Listen to our cry. This is for every youth in Africa. Written By; Brenda Martha...Enjoy! http://www.whykeanthology.com/2018/05/young-dancer.html Proudly Whyke. 1 Like |
