Benue Killings: Senate Rejects Committee Report by mcvities(m): 3:46pm On Feb 07, 2018
The Senate has rejected report of a joint committee on Police Affairs and National Security and Intelligence.
The joint committee was mandated to ensure compliance with the resolution of an ad-hoc committee on security which visited Benue State in the wake of the recent killings.

Adopting the directive of the ad-hoc committee, the Senate had on January 16 given the Inspector General of Police a 14-day ultimatum to apprehend and prosecute the perpetrators of killings in the state.
The Senate on Wednesday however rejected the report of the joint committee on the basis that the state governor, Samuel Ortom, who was mentioned severally in the IGP report was not invited to hear his side of story.

The IGP should send Kyari abi wetin be the name of the officer that led the team that apprehended Evans to Benue for quick action. We Nigerians want the killer terrorists arrested and slaughtered publicly.

Good! Seems the national assembly is now really waking up to its task. Most especially the Senate, they were the major force that kept the executive in check while PDP crisis lasted.
Who is still insulting Bukola Saraki?

The Senate is highly competent but the House of Reps should be scrapped because they don't justify the huge amount of money they earn. Seriously, what is House of Reps doing? It seems only Senate is fighting for the people.

You are right. The House of Reps is very passive and appears to have gone to sleep since 2015.

Anyone can tag the Senate 'corrupt' (since that's the only English word the dullard of a president understands), but the fact remains that they are the reason PMB has not finally turned the entire nation to a grazing reserve and cemetery.

its ridiculous that the police would make a report about crisis in Benue, blame the governor who is first the chief security officer claim he is a drowning person and refuse to hear from him

never has the police looked so biased in handling issues of insecurity as it has in this present crisis

the president who controls police would receive his score card when people go to the polls

2019 is not far

The IG should be sacked.

No more, no less.

Security personnel should be full professionals and should stop tieing themselves to politicians' aprons who will use them and dump them!

The senate is doing a great job of not being a mere appendage to the executive arm.

What rubbish, they should relocate to Benue to conduct their own investigation and come and tell us the right one.

They know Nigerians placed emotions over reality

if check and balance actually exist in Nigeria arms of govt, that IGP ought to be sacked by now

he's a cankerworm to Nigeria peace stability most esp the affected areas. should individual end up forming a militia group to protect theirselves when we don't have vacuum govt at the top. this is a huge stigma to democracy and its dictum

in this 21 century Nigeria are still busy debating on peace settlement when some African countries are vouching for something greater

lord if you can't do much for me this year, can you just help me to leave this country and cure these bad mentality that had been imposed in my thought

HOW TO KNOW IF YOU ARE CURSED- Shehu Mohammed Writes From PDP ,
-> If you buy data with your money as a jobless youth to praise Buhari govt.
-> If you vote for a change and still join apc to blame pdp for corruption when 26b is still missing in NNPC
-> If you queue for fuel in petrol stations and still put apc flag on ur dashboard
-> If you posting that Atiku is desperate for power and still supporting Buhari for second term
-> If your parent can’t pay your school fees and Clapping for Buhari who kids are in London schools
-> If you have malaria and and fight Pple criticizing Buhari medical bill
–> If you are in diaspora and everyday you go online to hail apc govt for putting you in life exile
–> If Buhari can pretend to be sick for 2 years but get well now to seek your vote
-> If by now you still don’t know that apc is ruling with propaganda
-> If you don’t have voter’s card and complain of bad govt
–> If Buhari has not found his certificate after 2017 and you still believe he can still recontest elections
–> If after 2years in office and Buhari is still blaming past govt for poor economy and you still wearing apc shirt
–> If Buhari keeps paying Paris refunds and your Governor can’t still pay salaries
–> If you hail Buhari body language for steady power supply and you can not now smell his economic body odor
–> If you clap for Buhari for fighting corruption and see Buhari and Tinubu sitting together inside presidential jet
–> If you Abuse Atiku for joining pdp and clap for Obanikoro and Tinubu for attending apc program
-> If you blame Gej for Diezani loots but now continue to defend Buhari for appointing Kyari at NNPC board
–> If you using generator to watch Fashola and Buhari commissioning power plant in Kano
–> If you join apc to condemn pdp convention when apc can not call just ordinary NEC meeting in four years
-> If by now Lai Mohammed is yet to find his voice to criticize pdp convention and you still think the congress is not successful for pdp to win in 2019
-> If lastly you read this joke and don't share for people to vote against Buhari draconian rule and still continue thinking like cow in Buhari Daura Twitter visit then you must be one of his herdsmen.
