The Conclusion Of Some Ex-militant Leaders For Lasting Peace In The Region by vendyprince(m): 7:25pm On Feb 11, 2018
The Niger Delta presidential Amnesty Program was initiated by late President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua on 6 August 2009,then the program was in the flight of progress in aspects of training it was one year six months and also scholarship to various schools both home and abroad was awarded to beneficiaries by the office. I Gen Edward Matthew Oghenefejiro held meeting with some of the leaders in Delta State yesterday because of the mismanagement of the office by Brig Gen Paul Boroh (rtd), the various leaders stated their aggrieves the program is no longer run as expected because of some phase one leaders who are benefiting form Paul Boroh. For that reason they don't have time for their boys and other leaders, infact its not suppose to be so, we the leaders are all stakeholder. Our payment suppose to be different from the boys (65000), there no organization which the leaders earn the same salary with the members and the most pressing issue on ground now is the house allowance that is owned for year's. The federal government, the President(Buhari) and the PANDEF should look into the presidential amnesty program so that there will be lasting peace in the region. For this we resolved that any body trained for one week, two week and nine month under Boroh is canceled such people should prepare for their one year six months training which was initially initiated. In aspects of empowerment the beneficiaries should be empowered at least with five million and above not the 600000and one million that has been given by Boroh such are also canceled not after empowerment people will still engage in illegal bunkery or looking for snail to survive, that is not empowerment. The delay in payment is another problem to PAP. In terms of meeting, all the leaders should be called upon not just some few leaders because each camp have its own problem. PAP belongs to the leaders and their boys,Boroh is just an appointee and his appointment can be terminate at any time, therefore we demand to know all the activities going on in our office. We demand to know if the house allowance is not in the 65billion annual budget .This is the conclusion we made in our meeting that will bring lasting peace to the PAP and the region at large. Signed. Gen.Edward Matthew Oghenefejiro. phase 2 leader.
