so i will be starting off today with these little tips . . . on how to remove a Virus Program using the Cmd Prompt Step 1 Click the "Start" menu and type "CMD" into the "Run" box and click "OK." Step 2 Select the drive that is infected with the virus. If you are not sure which drive is infected, start with the "C:" drive. Type in "C:" and press "Enter" to access this drive. Step 3 Type the following into the command prompt box: - s - h *. * /s /d and press "Enter." This will bring up any suspicious files located on the drive. Open the suspicious file. Step 4 Look for a file that contains a ".exe" file and a file titled "autorun.inf." If you find these two files, you have found the tainted file. Make sure to write down the name of the program where the file is located. Step 5 Rename the "autorun.inf" so you can access the drive later without activating the virus. Type: rename autorun.inf as virusfile and close out of the "Command" prompt box. Step 6 Double-click the "My Computer" icon and select the drive that has the infected file. Find the program that contains the infected file. Step 7 Right-click on the program and choose "Open." Step 8 Right-click on the file you renamed "virusfile" and choose "Delete." Step 9 Right-click on the ".exe" file and choose "Delete." You have now removed the virus from your computer's hard drive. Hope you enjoyed it . . . Wink |

This is complex, but careful reading and understanding makes it Fun! i will telling how to Decrease your Applications startup time in windows OS. By default, Microsoft includes the /prefetch:1 switch to speed up it's Windows Media Player application start time. This switch can be used for other Windows applications and also many third party programs. Example #1 You have AOL 8.0 installed on the computer. Complete the steps outlined bewlo to add the /prefetch:1 switch to AOL's Target path. 1. Right click on the AOL shortcut and select properties from the menu. 2. In the Target: Field add the /prefetch:1 switch to the very end of the path, like this: "C:\Program Files\America Online 8.0\aol.exe" /prefetch:1 and then click ok. Now start AOL. It would load at least 50 times faster than ever before. Example #2 1, Go to the Start button/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools 2. Right click on System Restore and select properties from the menu that appears. Add the /prefetch:1 to the Target Path entry so it looks like this %ystemRoot%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe /prefetch:1 and click ok. Now System Restore will start immediately when executed. Note: This switch will only work with some programs. Others will return a message saying the program in the target box is invalid. Just remove the switch |

Here, i will be sharing how to remove an extra operating system . . . If you have more then one operating system installed or wish to remove an operating system from the boot menu, you can use the following information. 1.Click on Start, Control Panel, System, Advanced. 2.Under Startup and Recovery, click Settings. 3.Under Default Operating System, choose one of the following: "Microsoft Windows XP Professional /fastdetect" -or- "Microsoft Windows XP Home /fasdetect" -or- "Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional /fastdetect" 4.Take the checkmark out of the box for "Time to display a list of Operating Systems". 5.Click Apply and Ok, and reboot the system. *If you wish to edit the boot.ini file manually, click on the button "EDIT" Also, Removing Vista from computers has always been a pain in the backside for most people, stress no further. . . Vista OS is usually in the SATA hard-drive, all what you need to do, Go to the Bios settings, under configuration - look for hard-drive settings or something close to it, Disable the SATA, and enable IDE or ACPI. Save and Exit and you are done . . . Vista is History! Congratulations . . . |

Have you ever spent 2hrs on Goolgle searching for serial numbers? it could be frustrating you know, Now lets end that frustration with this little tip . . . Here i will be sharing how to get serial numbers for application ASAP. . . let's pretend you need a serial number for windows xp pro. in the search bar type in just like this - "Windows XP Professional" 94FBR the key is the 94FBR code, it was included with many MS Office registration codes so this will help you dramatically reduce the amount of 'fake' indecency sites that trick you. or if you want to find the serial for winzip 8.1 - "Winzip 8.1" 94FBR just try it out, it's very quick and it works nicely, hope it's fun |

Booting your PC talking forever? This is the remedy . . . a little bit Complicated, but a little settling down to understand would do the magic . . . First of all, this tweak only apply to those who only have one HDD on their primary IDE channel (nothing else on device 0 or 1) and a CD-ROM and/or DVD-ROM on the secondary IDE channel. Each time you boot Windows XP, there's an updated file called NTOSBOOT-*.pf who appears in your prefetch directory (%SystemRoot%Prefetch) and there's no need to erease any other files as the new prefetch option in XP really improves loading time of installed programs. We only want WindowsXP to boot faster and not decrease its performance. Thanks to Rod Cahoon (for the prefetch automation process, with a minor change of mine) and Zeb for the IDE Channel tweak as those two tricks, coupled together with a little modification, result in an EXTREMELY fast bootup: 1. Open notepad.exe, type "del c:windowsprefetch tosboot-*.* /q" (without the quotes) & save as "ntosboot.bat" in c: 2. From the Start menu, select "Run, " & type "gpedit.msc". 3. Double click "Windows Settings" under "Computer Configuration" and double click again on "Shutdown" in the right window. 4. In the new window, click "add", "Browse", locate your "ntosboot.bat" file & click "Open". 5. Click "OK", "Apply" & "OK" once again to exit. 6. From the Start menu, select "Run, " & type "devmgmt.msc". 7. Double click on "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" 8. Right click on "Primary IDE Channel" and select "Properties". 9. Select the "Advanced Settings" tab then on the device 0 or 1 that doesn't have 'device type' greyed out select 'none' instead of 'autodetect' & click "OK". 10. Right click on "Secondary IDE channel", select "Properties" and repeat step 9. 11. Reboot your computer see you soon! |

^^^^ After rebooting, Download Advanced System Care (it's free okay, just Google it) to get your registry Fixed! Your PC should however continue to boot at the speed of Light . . . . RE: see you soon! |

@puskin and all, No body is competing with anyone, This is not an issue that should give rise to conflictus, The issue of Links is something that i have to affatus right here. i have with me over 1000 hack and computer tips in multiple folders, which i got many years ago while undergoing a networking didactics and had no link and/or source. I tried explaining but was treated in a improbus manner. To further buttress my disaffirmation, i have included a pic of some of these files i have in HDD. I hereby declare myself vindicated and lay this issue to Rest! Thank you!

Lol. Funny thread. Kosovo, you can understand why people take a snipe at you for your post. It sometimes feel like just too much of a coincidence that what you post is word for word from somewhere else. There is nothing wrong with giving props and credit to where it is taken from. It takes nothing away from you. And on balance, I can understand and see why the thread was locked initially, but perhaps looking at it on hindsight now, it was probably not a good idea. Hopefully, the two of you will get along soon. |
