I am a deaf girl in her 20s and I'm genuinely curious about what other deaf people might be going through in Nigeria. So if you are deaf or know someone who is deaf, please share the struggles of being deaf in Nigeria. Let us know. This way, people canbe more enlightened about it.
I also wrote a piece about the struggles of being deaf in a country like Nigeria from my own point of view. Let me know what you think.

I am here. It is not easy at all. We are not recognised in this country. Every thing is against us. Look me no hope. I am so poor. I don't know but i am fed up with life. I was born hearing but had severe hearing loss during early puberty. As a first child from a poor family whose parents are unemployed, you can imagine how things would be. Since then my life changed. I don't want to talk about it.. It's a deep wound.
