When General Buhari was chairman of the defunct PTF at the time General Sani Abacha was Head of State, the PTF issued the contract for the reconstruction of Gombe to Yola road, and the contracted firm even deployed machinery and started scraping off the dead road layer. But when Obasanjo became President he quickly revoked the contract in his vindictive attitude of undoing anything Abacha initiated. He left the road like that in its scraped form without re-awarding it to any company of his choice, and then the condition of the road became worse!

So it was that throughout Obasanjo's 8 years in power, we suffered terribly on that road so much that it always took an average of 4 hours from Gombe to Cham, my hometown, instead of 1 hour 10 minutes, or 7 hours from Gombe to Yola instead of the usual average of 2 hours or 2 and half hours!

Then what reasonable person from that axis will listen to any rubbish from a rubbished, corrupt, hypocritical old man like Obasanjo who only delights in mischief and misdemeanours?

Now thanks to PMB, it takes not more than 1 hour 20 minutes from Gombe to Cham, and the reconstruction of the Gombe to Yola road is currently going on with great intensity just like the several other federal roads in the Northeast!

Buhari is working! He is fixing Obasanjo's messy mess with less than 50% of the revenues Obasanjo and his PDP earned in their 16 wasted years!
