Supersport United have a mountain to climb when travelled to Nigeria to face Heartland FC in the second leg of the CAF Champions League after drawing 1-1 in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Heartland where the first to score when ThankGod Ike rose above the United defence to nod in a free-kick by Bello Musa Kofarmata in the second minute of the game.

After the goal United continued to press hard for the equaliser and were rewarded when Thabo September slotted in a superb goal after connecting with a corner kick by Jabulane Maluleke in the 37th minute to bring the score to 1-1 at half-time.

The home team brought on Daine Klate, Brian Umony and Siyabonga Nkosi for a more offensive approach in the second half but Heartland defended very well and in the end deserved to hold out for the draw.
