It was a worrying sight for fans of Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Brazil as their star player, Neymar went off injured in PSG's game against Marseille tonight.

PSG were 3-0 up in the 76th minute when the freak incident took place which left Neymar down and in tears, signifying that it might be a serious injury.

Neymar and a Marseille player were going for a ball before Neymar's leg got entangled in his opponent's leg before twisting his ankle.

He was quickly stretchered off the pitch with his palms in his face - a scene that brought back memories of his horror injury at the 2014 world cup in Brazil.

This injury comes at a bad time for PSG who would take on Real Madrid in the second leg of their champions league round of 16 match in 9 days time, having lost the first leg 3-0.

The injury, depending on the severity, could also affect Brazil's preparation and hopes for the world cup holding in Russia in June.
