PSG were cruising to a 3-0 win over Marseille last night when disaster struck asNeymar fell to the floor in severe pains.

After much haggle with Bouna Sarr for the ball, the Brazil professional seemingly fell awkwardly to the ground clutching his ankle in agony.

Upon replay it looked as though he had twisted his ankle as he chased down the Marseille star.

After being attended to by PSG medical staff, Neymar had to be stretchered off in the 82nd minute for immediate medical attention.

The injury comes at a particularly poor time for the French champions, and depending on its severity, could even damage Brazil’s World Cup preparations.


PSG will face a crucial second leg Champions League clash with Real Madrid in less than 10 days time, and could be forced to do so without their biggest name following this injury

Meanwhile, the Selecao have two friendlies lined up against Russia and defending World champions Germany late in March which shape as integral to their preparations for June’s World Cup.
