as a new tenant to an apartment, there arises what is called an agreement fee aside the agent fee. most landlords or lawyers fight n quarrel over these and over the years the debate has continue to grow....the landlord says its there house n makes the rule, while the lawyers says they draft the framework, signed, stamped n made the statement ready for both parties, so am asking who do you think is right to collect the agreement fee; the landlord or the lawyer?

Ordinarily, the landlord is entitled to collect all proceeds of the property and not the duty of the lawyer to demand from the tenant the agreement fee. However, both parties usually fail in speculating their terms to avoid conflict. Depending on their agreement, the landlord will give his lawyer his professional fees from the proceeds.
