oz4real83: That is why the growth in 2013 & 2014 despite falling oil prices, under Jonathan, is quite impressive. It was the result of a pragmatic leadership recruiting and allowing brilliant technocrats deliver excellent performance in the economy. Sharp minds like Akinwunmi Adesina, Olusegun Aganga, Barth Nnaji, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala etc. 1 Like |

Chai...under "ineffectual" GEJ the growth rate was between 5%-7%. Under "Saint" Buhari of Daura, it's just of 1%.......hmmm..Nigeria... |

seguno2:how low were the oil prices in jonathan era? whether Apc or Pdp,it is always the same result. The Jonathan govt was still borrowing to pay salaries despite ''this growth'' . Ngozi okonji-Iweala started deceiving Nigerians that ''Nigeria wasn't broke'' because ''we have liquid assets/instruments we can sell to remain solvent'' despite proofs saying otherwise? Nigeria is blessed with people who do wonders outside the country and win awards but become devils when it comes to issues concerning Nigeria. 1 Like |

oz4real83: To be fair, it's not just the government that is at fault but the people as well. Nigerians claim to be the smartest people but cannot produce even shirts and trousers on a large scale. Are we even into cotton production anymore? There are various scent producing plants, the extracts of which can be used in perfumery, let's not talk of spices and herbs of medicinal value. There are lots of plants and animals of commercial value from which a variety of stuff can be produced yet all our animal and plant scientist prefer to look for bank jobs . At the end, you find a never satisfied citizenry. Uninventive, unimaginative. |

GavelSlam:the govt of every nation decides the direction the nation should go. They decide this by using education and other policies. Leadership can either transform or malform a nation. Dubai was a rural community. Good leadership transformed it to a paradise. Singapore is another example of a nation transformed by leadership. There are other many examples. What is the quality of human capital/resource in nigeria? Very poor despite its abundance. How is education? Very poor despite many schools!!! Computer departments in most nigerian universities don't have computers!!! Bad leadership begets bad followership which in turn begets bad leadership. It is a continuous cycle. |

oz4real83: Despite the bad standards we have individuals who distinguish themselves and thrive either by way of scholarly ability or entrepreneurial acumen but they are miniscule. Face it, Nigerians are not particularly into innovation or sophistication. Post anything on the achievement of a Yahoo boy now and be amazed by how many likes and shares it would generate. Try to solve a puzzle by application of logic and observe how that thread dissolves into nothingness and how you would be derided by your contemporaries. Nigerians love fraud, fast money and now they've even imbibed the habit of complaining, using the other man (tribe, religion, social difference etc) as the reason for their non-performance. 1 Like 2 Shares |

GavelSlam:let me use a biblical example to explain my opinion. The children of Israel spent 40years in the wilderness for a journey that was supposed to last not more than a month. God wanted that generation to die and phase out because they have been corrupted with all manner of evil and unbelief with exception of a few. They were incapable of being the kind of Israel in God's dream. That Israeli generation is like our present generation. A corrupted, wayward, indolent and ''fantastically evil'' generation. But a good leadership can provide a platform or plan for future generations to be better than what we have now. It starts with knowing what we want and setting machinery in place to achieve them. It can be 20years policy,it can be 30 or 40 years but it depends on our targets. 1 Like |

Moukandjo: Is that so? Please do tell, Mr "Truth teller", at what rate did the Nigerian economy grow under GEJ? Are you aware of the following: 1) that at a time Nigeria was among the fastest growing economies in the world under GEJ watch? 2) that Nigeria overtook South Africa as Africa's LARGEST ECONOMY under GEJ's watch? 3) that Nigeria was listed among the MINT nations (MEXICO, INDONESIA, NIGERIA, TURKEY), again under GEJ's watch? So please tell me, what has that incompetent buffoon called Buhari done to supersede the economic achievements of GEJ and his all star team? That's why I keep saying that you zombies need brains to enable you think for yourselves. |

ocelot2006: A certain fellow mor0nic Jonathan sycophant of yours here, in another forum, was this stvpid to quote this your silly 5.75% for 2015, but he was shown how dumb he was & still is! At no time in 2015 was any GDP growth up to 4%. In terms of quarterly GDP growth, Ebelemi Jonathan met a quarterly GDP growth of 7.68% in 2010 & left it at 2.35% in May 2015! 1 Like 1 Share |

Moukandjo: Answer the bloody questions, dimwit. Stop changing the subject. What has the dullard achieved economic wise that surpasses the achievements of GEJ And please provide proof that GEJ handed an economy with a growth rate of 2.35%, even though we all know though that the slump in oil prices began at the later end of his administration. |

ocelot2006:Typical mor0nic Jonathan sycophants! You, like your fellow mor0n who attaches "lord" at the end of every of his unintelligent comments some weeks ago here, are already giving excuses for the plunging of the quarterly GDP growth which you never believed was! If you claim oil prices affected Nigeria's GDP growth under Ebelemi Jonathan that drastically, why do you think it won't do so under Buhari? At least you're a bit smart enough to mention oil prices as the real major factor unlike the other mor0n who blamed fuel scarcity that ALWAYS happened every year & refused to mention the major factor which was the dwindling oil price just so the excuse won't fly for Buhari! Nobody says Buhari did anything spectacular in the economy, but you Jonathan sycophants shouldn't come & tell us he left a heavenly economy for Buhari to manage! Go to google & search for the GDP growth for Q3/Q4 in 2010 as well as Q2 2015 to get where Ebelemi Jonathan met & left it. Cheers! 1 Like 1 Share |

How can you call people zombies when your likes are stvpid enough to believe the lie that your hero left a GDP growth of 5.7% when he actually left it well below 3% after meeting it at 7.68%? If you're this mor0nic that you can't even confirm simple facts on the internet THAT YOU'RE ON RIGHT NOW & still believe lies, what other sensible thing will I have to discuss with you mor0n? Moukandjo: Once again, answer my questions. Is that so hard for you to understand, dimwit? You asked a question, I answered it with a link to back up my answer. However you're yet to answer mine? What's wrong? Too chicken to answer them cos you're scared of the truth that your St. Buhari has been an incompetent waste of space? It's either you're an unintelligent liar or simply an idi0tic illiterate that can't read! I dare you & any of your fellow mor0nic Jonathan sycophants to show us just one link or chart that indicates a GDP growth of up to 4% in 2015! Well, now that you've stylishly accepted that Ebelemi plunged our GDP growth from 7.68% to 2.36%, as against your lies of leaving it at 5.8%, what was the dumb question you asked again so I could make you look stvpider than you already do? 1 Like |

Moukandjo: Really? GEJ plunged our GDP growth rate? And it had nothing to do with the fact that oil price had crashed at the time? At least he achieved a high GDP growth rate compared to his predecessors and bumbling successor. And claiming that I couldn't respond appropriately is simply laughable, especially when YOU, dum dum, were busy bleating and beating around the bush like a demented he-goat as you attempted to dodge my questions multiple times. Anyway turdhead, since you're so lazy to get the question, I'll help. Here's the "dumb": Is that so? Please do tell, Mr "Truth teller", at what rate did the Nigerian economy grow under GEJ? ocelot2006:You're really a Mor0n! You were even stvpid enough to still affirm oil prices as the reason for him plunging the GDP from 7.68% to 2.35%, which also means oil price was the reason for whatever increase in GDP you saw during his regime. So if your idi0tic self considers oil prices as an excuse for your lord & personal saviour, Ebelemi Jonathan, why shouldn't the same excuse fly for Buhari? Did/Has oil price risen majestically back to what it was during the oil boom era in Ebelemi Jonathan's regime? You see why I call you Jonathan sycophants big mor0ns! 1 Like 1 Share |

Now, mor0n, since you really want me to make you look even stvpider than you already are, the answer to all your questions is Yes! So Mor0n, pls answer this questions: 1) Was that the economic situation he left behind for Buhari? 2) Since Ebelemi achieved all of these successes, how come he then left the GDP growth at 2.35% from 7.68% that he met it in 2010 (at least, you've stylishly agreed that you LIED about Ebelemi leaving a GDP growth of 5.8% as against the truth of 2.35%)?
