Tinubu has been dining with the PDP, especially SW PDP since 1999. He has a symbiotic relationship with them. So I don't doubt for a second that he'd be able to negotiate with the PDP when push comes to shove. The issue is that there's very little reason for the PDP to give him any currency. Or at least if they do, they should pull a Buhari on him afterwards.

Same thing Buhari has done to Tinubu, he did to Kwankwaso. You don't give those vipers room to grow. Atiku and Saraki (at least for now) are local champions, and Buhari left Adamawa and Kwara for them, since they have no regional reach. PDP on the other hand let Tinubu influence grow into the SW and even the SS (with Edo). In the end, same Tinubu was bandying about as the slayer of PDP. Buhari learned from history and clipped Tinubu before he became the latest casualty.

They are Cpc arm of the merger and it is not only in Lagos that they are being marginalized, the story is the same in Oyo (shittu faction in oyo, even the one in sokoto is also alleging marginalization)

Jonathan only continued the type of politics Yar'Adua introduced--politics devoid of bitterness. It was new in Nigeria. IMO, it is very unfortunate Yar'Adua didn't get his 8 years. And GEJ or Duke after him had his 8 years, we'd not have fallen back to this same destructive type of politics we've played since 1960, continued by OBJ, and perfected by Buhari.
