Bro, do I need to get both the defender and the immune booster or just get one of it?. Also, how do i administer it to prevent the parvo virus, I mean how many capsules do I have to give my dog and how often?. Thanks.

Immune booster is enough
If its a small dog you can open the capsule and pour the content into it mouth but if a big dog you can pour the content into it food or milk depending on what your dog love most and cant resist

I took Gustaf home and then decided to do the treatment by myself, I google online and also got some help from people on Nairaland here telling me what to get and how to do the parvo treatment.


I bought each and everything i was told to buy including;
Antibiotics
Diastop suspension
Oral b salt
Drip
Palm kennel oil
Multivitamins
Glucose
Syringe
Toothbrush etc...

Treating parvo wasn't really easy for me but thanks goodness everything went fine and Gustaf rose again

I don't have drip the vet does that... Yes ORS salt, palm kennel oil helps fight the virus as it sanitizes the dog's immune system once administered, This oil is local but very powerful

B-complex is ok and also the glucose, you administer them maybe with spoon... Or just pour one spoon of glucose inside it's mouth everyday

If it a big dog y not expose it to parvo then treat it once and for all

Its expensive it works wonder

baba, prevention is better than cure... my dog is a puppy though and i paid a high amount for it, reason why i want to make sure i try my best to make sure i dont lose the dog. Thanks man.

why will you deliberately expose your dog to Parvo? Adult or not it could die and from this thread Gustaf survived Parvo as a pup but the same Parvo killed Murphy as an adult.

It's rainy season again and we all know that flies tend to attack our dogs especially on the ears during this season. Am neither surprised nor worried about it rather I've been ready with all the necessary things to get rid of them thereby giving Gustaf a happy life as he deserves.

Also noticed he's been kinda down since last week, not very active as he used to be not to talk of the loss of appetite

Will be calling my vet today to come see what he can do to make things better, ticks caused the brief illness so it's nothing serious to worry about. I gave him a tick bath so I can say he's tick-free now.

He said it might be anemia, yea I agree. But coupled with trauma as well. This guy is really lonely all of a sudden

Murphy died of parvo so in a bid to keep our new pup away from such virus, I got three hausa guys to clean/clear the whole compound, weeding was done and all that.

The refuse gotten outta the compound filled a pickup omg, we disposed it off in a deserted location where refuse get dumped

Furmigation was done. Mixed herbicide, a strong termite chemical, sniper, and another chemical used in washing dirts off tiled surface. Very dangerous and harmful.

When I mixed all these chemicals together omg, I couldn't tell the colour anymore and I could see something like smoke going into the air out of the container.

During the spraying, I made sure i covered my nose well in order not to inhale the strong gas mixed with the harmful chemical smell all over the yard

After the fumigation many insects including ticks, ants and flies scattered all over the compound, dead
