The latest transfer record for and African player is currently held by Gabon’s Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, whom Arsenal bought for 55 million pounds from Borussia Dortmund.

Now, just within two months, the record is broken as Congolese striker, Cedric Bakambu, who plays for Spanish club Villareal, has just been bought by Chinese club Beijing Guoan for 65 million pounds.
