GOV. WIKE'S STATEMENT ON RIWAMA; A VINDICATION OF lNCRA AND AN INDICTMENT ON HIS GOVERNMENT.

The Inter-ethnic Network for Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, INCRA, expresses great relief over Gov. Wike's statement on RIWAMA and its management, yesterday.

The Governor explicitly and publicly expressed his dismay over the Bro. Felix Obuah-led RIWAMA management during the swearing-in of the new CTC Chairmen. " You know the Environmental Sanitation (RIWAMA) people have failed completely. This is one of the areas we have failed completely. I am putting sanitation in the hands of Local Government Areas CTC." The Governor said.

The Governor's statement is not only revealing and indicting on his government but also comes as a vindication of our earlier positions. Recall that we have severally bemoaned the glaring strait and mismanagement in RIWAMA following the appointment of the Rivers State PDP Chairman, Bro. Felix Obuah as the Sole Administrator of RIWAMA in 2015 by Governor Wike. Sadly, since the appointment of Felix Obuah as the helmsman of the Agency, it has degenerated into a comatose position and failed woefully in the discharge of its primary responsibility of ensuring the proper management and disposal of wastes in the State.

It is shocking that despite the abysmal failure of Felix in handling the affairs of the agency proficiently even to the detriment of the State Government, the Governor has been unable to replace him with a capable person. This is an indication that Governor Wike is handicapped and is unable to take charge of his government.
This situation is perilous and calls for serious concern on the part of every well-intending Rivers citizens.

Apparently, the Wike-led Government has failed Rivers people completely. As a pro-Rivers group with the interest and progress of the State being one of our focal thrust, we call on Governor Wike immediately to take charge of his government or resign forthwith. The issue of governance is a very serious business and not fit for weaklings neither should it be used as a political trump card.

INCRA,
Ubima, Rivers State.

How can they claim to be neutral when they are using the name of a politician and are reporting from his same village.
Bigotry at its peak...
SMH for Rivers people.
Though I like Amaechi as a person, this group is just over flogging an issue from a sentimental view.
