A woman yet to be identified was at about 9:20pm Saturday run over by an oncoming vehicle around Palmgrove area in Lagos.

According to information gathered by our reporter, an eye witness at the accident scene who prefer to be anonymous narrated the occurrence .

He said the deceased had alighted from a BRT bus at Palmgrove when she attempted to cross the busy road , an okada man who was over limit knock her down instantly causing an oncoming vehicle to pick up her helpless body dragging it over a distance of 50m .


According to his statements the okada rider Fled the scene while the hit and run driver made away after he was seen jittery.


Men of the Nigeria Police attached to Pedro division Lagos state are presently at the scene .


The Lagos State environmental unit is presently at the scene taking the duty of the LRU
.

A Concerned citizen at the scene reportedly said LASAMBOD and the Rapid response were called and no response for over 3 hours.

The deceased was a resident of 15 Abiodun street palm grove Lagos.


At the time of filing this report the Husband to the deceased has been contacted through contacts found in her purse .

Our mentality av been shifted to 0, I remember in d 90s when a careless school girl got hit by my mum while dropping us at school, with d help of people around, we took her to d hospital were she was attended to urgently before they even asked for deposit, d police wasn't involved cuz d whole system was working properly, we kept going to chk her every morning until her discharge. No hazzles, no blames, no fights so while wanting to hit n run
