Cameroon Returns 4 Soldiers, 2 Mobile Policeman Who Fled There During Boko Haram's Attack On Rann

At least four soldiers and two mobile policemen, who fled to Cameroon during an attack by Boko Haram on Rann, Borno State, have been rescued and returned to Nigeria by Cameroonian troops. Security sources told SaharaReporters that they were handed to Nigerian troops at Gamboru-Ngala.

"The soldiers claimed to have fled gunfire that left eight security personnel dead." said a security source. Another source also disclosed that a nurse, Hauwa Mohammed, might have been rescued also by Cameroonian troops. This, however, could not be confirmed.

The source claimed that her family had received information of her freedom from her abductors.

"The latest information about Hauwa was that her family reported that they were contacted and Informed that she was rescued in Cameroon and will be escorted to Maiduguri today," said the source.

there is nothing to explain here in Nigeria the military is seen as a place of last resort when u don't have a better place to work and secondly to even enter as an officer u will need a God father not merit so such army can never be good!

Sometimes I pity out Nigerian armed forces fighting a battle they have no idea of..

Whereas those who purportedly started this war are somewhere in their homes relaxing and enjoying at the expense of other people's life and comfort.

The answer is that Boko haram fighters don't fear death, that is why they can commit suicide. Nigerian soldiers run when they see death coming. That is the army and police we built for our society. They are products of our society. How do we take care of those who sacrifice their lives for us? How do we respond as a society when they die for our sake? I don't blame them if they ran away from imminent death.

Later they will say Buhari has rebuilt the morale of soldiers, they are now gallant and fearless, no more running from boko haram unlike during GEJ. When they drop lies everywhere, those lies constantly trip them up and come back to bite their assęs.

Let no one call them cowards o! This is a country that abandons its security personnel and their families, poor remuneration, refusal to pay when due, benefits denied families for years while they're left to to suffer in vain. When the soldiers think of those realities, they would realise they're better of saving their lives than suffering for some damned shïthole. Just a pity that the same uniformed idiots gladly harass, maim n kill unarmed, defenseless citizens in d south while extorting huge sums wherever they have the chance.

those soldiers who fled are sensible enough, kudos to them.....better they fled than allow Nigerian politicians disguising under the military to kill them, If not for DAT wise choice they would have been dead by now, no honour dying for a shithole country!!!!

Lol grin Karma is really dealing with the APC and this evil government. They were saying that the zoo soldiers no longer run away from battle unlike in the past, now they are running into Cameroon only to be rescued and returned by foreign troops of another country! They said there was nothing like subsidy yet they have since been paying billions for it yet fuel is neither cheap nor available! They said it's not rocket science to give citizens light yet it has now become nuclear science with darkness everywhere!
