Senator Mao Arukwe Ohuabunwa the senator representing Abia North Senatorial zone has flagged off the rehabilitation of Arochukwu-Ohafia road which he attracted, during the occasion senator Ohuabunwa said that one thing that kept coming up each time he visited communities within Arochukwu and Ohafia is the state of the Arochukwu-Ohafia Federal Road and the need to do something about it.
In his words Senator Ohuabunwa said as a Legislator, I know for sure that the only way to get it done is through Appropriation and as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria I am well positioned to use my Legislative privileges to get it done for my people.
Prominent Abia north indigenes on hand to witness the historic event are the Deputy Governor of Abia state Sir Ude Okochukwu , the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Eme Okoro, the Deputy Speaker of Abia House Of Assembly Rt Hon Cosmos Ndukwe alongside other members of the ABHA, the Executive Chairman of Ohafia LGA and notable Abia north sons and daughters, while the contactor handling the project is SETRACO Nigeria Limited which is reputed for quality delivery in road infrastructure.
Distinguished Senator Ohuabunwa said that committees shall be constituted to monitor the progress of work and he will personally be involved in doing that.
In conclusion he expressed gratitude to Ndi Abia North, for the outpouring of love and appreciation and thanked everyone for giving him the privilege to represent them in the Upper Chamber and also promised to remain their humble servant while pledging to keep delivering as long as they keep sending him.
