NFF president, Amaju Pinnick is already in Marrakech, Morocco to attend the first ever CAF Women’s Football Symposium. He is being accompanied on the trip by his two deputies, Seyi Akinwunmi, NFF’s 1st vice-president, Shehu Dikko, 2nd vice President and chairman of the League Management Company (LMC) and General Secretary, Sanusi Mohammed.

The symposium which seeks to chart a new course for women’s football on the continent has the theme ” raising our game”, and it is expected to be chaired by CAF president, Ahmad Ahmad and FIFA General Secretary, Fatma Samoura who will also coordinate the seven working groups that would emerge after the plenary on the first day of the congress.

According to a CAF release, the two- day meeting would brainstorm on specialized topics germane to the development of the women’s game.

Topics to be discussed by the seven groups at the conference include the following, “how to expand the practice of women’s football, developing the technical formation of the trainers, referees, and instructor, means of development of sponsorship, competition’s: realities and perspective, governance concept in women’s football, role of women’s football in gender promotion and socialization and place of media and communication in dynamizing women’s football.
