The persecution of Christians continues to increase around the world. Claiming Christ in some part of the world can lead to violence and death. Some of the countries listed below has changed for the worse, as they have become increasingly dangerous for Christians.

North Korea
North Korea has been the world’s worst persecutor of Christians for decades. Being a Christian in North Korea is considered one of the worst crimes possible. Christians are forced to hide their faith completely at all times. Owning a Bible in North Korea is punishable by execution or cast to harsh labor camp, where unknown numbers die each year from starvation, beatings and torture.

Afghanistan
Afghanistan government does not recognize any of its citizens as Christians. It is especially dangerous to a Christian in Afghanistan. Followers of Christ in this country face extreme persecution. Christians never meet together in public. Many who convert from Islam to Christianity are murdered once their extended families learn of their new faith.
