Good morning everyone, pls I need your candid advice. I have been given admission for advanced diploma in finance at Nova Scotia college. I am an HND holder and someone once told me advanced diploma is equivalent to HND in Nigeria that d chances of visa issuance is slim. Is dis true? Should I still go ahead with the visa processing, or is der anyone who has been in my shoes before? |

Thanks everyone. Is re-applying immediately (after tackling loopholes) disadvantageous? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by makano: 11:38am On Oct 03, 2018 |
There is nothing bad in re-applting immediately. But i will advise you get ur GCMS note first before re-applying. GCMS notes tells you the main reason why ur Visa was rejected unlike the generic refusal note you were given when ur application was rejected. So Order for ur GCMS notes, so you will know how to get ur visa in ur next application. Do not rush to re-apply. Peace blet: |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by blet(m): 1:55pm On Oct 03, 2018 |
makano: i really wanted to do that but it would take 40 -60 days before i get gcms notes, then re-applying would take about 3 months before i get feedback from embassy and resumption is 4th of January 2019. if i defer again, it wont be so nice either because the next session after that is september and i'm a newly wed, I'm leaving certain things on hold (child-birth etc) till after I get there. this is my predicament. 1 Like |

blet: Well if you have the nudge with faith you could go ahead with your re-application, but only if you have tackled the prominent problems described after your first denial. Spice-up your previous docs a bit more. I will also advise you to use paper route which seem faster lately. In 2months you should have a decision,. Overall this thing na God, no be man power. If you planning January put your application in before the middle of this month and dash up the mountain of prayer whatever your religion. 1 Like |

Ok. You can re-apply without ordering ur GCMS and still get ur Visa. I am seen someone re-applying without ordering for GCMS notes and he got his Visa. Note: Thats just 1 person out of so many that tried it. But with what you have just explain, You can re-apply in faith without the GCMS. I will advise you read up the thread from page i or previous parts. You will definietly encounter someone that got the same reasons as ur own and what he or she did to get his or her Visa. So if u cant wait for 3o days to get ur GCMS note, I expect you spend hours/days/weeks reading up this thread from Part 1 and I assure you will get info on how to tackle ur reasons without the GCMS Note. Best of luck. Peace blet: 1 Like |

mightyola: They are just not predictable. Sometimes online route may get faster result than paper, other times paper route maybe faster. The thing with these V.Os that I've noticed is that they just don't have any rules. They apply whatever suits them. It's just a crazy system |

blet: I had to go through your previous posts. Bro have you found a way to tackle the sponsorship issue that was pointed out by the VO? You can prove he is your uncle by showing birth certificate (yours and his) and he can also show commitment by making a payment towards your fees or transferring the amount to your account and then write a very good and convincing SOP. In your SOP, make sure you emphasise on returning to naija cos of your family (this is very important, stress it). Make sure you sell your string points convincingly. Your SOP should not be too long, make it brief and straight to the point. Focus on addressing issues raised and then sell your string points. Let your sponsor also write a good, touching and emotional SOP. Why is he sponsoring you? He could say it was a promise he made to your late parents (this is just an example). For emphasis, It should be something very touching and emotional. His SOP should also not be too much. I suggest maximum of 500 words. He should also state clearly how this will not be a burden to him and how he has made a transfer of so so amount to your account to show seriousness. He can swear an affidavit of sponsorship. He can also show his statement of account to show he is financially stable to sponsor you etc You dont have to wait for GCMS note once you can tackle the above points very well and then add the initial documents you added before and apply. Please reapply in the next 1 week. Finally, pray, fast and then sow a seed on your application or pledge to God that if he does it for you, you will do this for him. It worked for me, I pray it does for you as well. Take this very serious. I have had a visa to Uk, still have a visa to USA and now Canada and it has always been this method of sowing a seed, praying and fasting that has worked for me (of cos after putting the necessary work of getting all the right documents). You will testify. 5 Likes |

Hotspotaccess: Bro for Lagos, mine was the next day after I got mail to show it had been approved and counter foil stamped. For Kenya, it could take longer cos of transit time to bring it back here. They already approved it, don’t bother yourself. Just start thanking God. |

galala123: Hello Galala, The bolded above caught my attention. I also have 2K CAD non-refundable tuition deposit with MUN. While hoping for the best, I’m preparing for the worst. I will like to know if you were able to get a way to recover the supposedly non-refundable 5K CAD. Anyone in the house with tangible info can also advice. |

Hello NL, CiC requested for a medical examination for me and I did it on Thursday Sept 27. It's still not updated till now. Please how long does it take for medicals to be updated after request from CIC or do I need to send them a mail before it can be updated? Also, for those that sent mails before their medicals was updated, did u attach any medical result? As I was not given the result from Children Practice. |
