Please continue posting your Questions and Advises here, Part 2 is now 501 pages and we are obviously progressing.

Part 1 can be revisited here: https://www.nairaland.com/1190697/qatar-uae-general-visa-enquiries

Part 2 can be revisited here: https://www.nairaland.com/2471964/qatar-uae-general-visa-enquiries

NOTE: This is purely DIY Basis. No Promotion of Agents or Dropping of Personal contacts.

FEW HINTS:

How to get a VISIT VISA & FLIGHT TICKET to UAE: There are several websites that appear to have an online facility available for obtaining a UAE entry permit (tourist visa or visit visa). Before handing over money, try to confirm with an official UAE organisation such as the UAE Immigration Ministry if such sources are legitimate. It is possible websites are trying to scam people with these procedures. Remember that normally anyone arranging a visa prior to travelling to the UAE needs to have a sponsor in the UAE - a friend, relative, airline, travel agent, hotel, or company based in the UAE (I'll suggest you deal directly with one of those options, or contact a UAE Embassy, or talk to the airline you are travelling with).

1. www.dubaivisa.net - VFS Global - online visa applications for the use of Emirates Airline passengers only. Related websites are www.qatarairways.com, www.vfsglobal.com. VFS operates a Dubai Visa Processing Centre (DVPC) in several countries.

• Hotels & Tourist Companies can apply, on your behalf, for a Tourist Visa (valid for 30 days); or a Service Visa (valid for 14 days); or a Visit Visa valid for 30 days. Only 1month and 3months visas are Available, no more 1month Extendable Visa.

• Airlines & Airlines Handlers apply on behalf of their crew members for a 96-hour Transit Visa.

• Other Organizations based in the UAE may only apply for Visit Visas and Service Visas.

• Individuals (Relatives or Friends) already resident in the UAE may, subject to guidelines, also apply on your behalf for a Visit Visa.
So that's it.

What to do before coming in search for Jobs in UAE: Make sure you Authenticate your documents i.e WAEC,NECO,BSC,MSC etc with the below mentioned Ministries.

Minimum Amount to hold as BTA (Basic Travel Allowance) before Travelling: $1,000

How to get Accommodation when you get to UAE: lodge in a Hotel for 1 to 2 days and proceed to Dubizzle for shared Accommodation or an Apartment.

How to Prepare your CV in accordance with UAE Format: Google can help you with this. Just type "UAE CV FORMAT" on google and the rest is history. If you encounter any problem just ask and others can assist you.

How to search for Jobs in UAE: DUBIZZLE is a good recommendation and it works.

IMPORTANT LINKS

FOR DHA LICENSE https://eservices.dha.gov.ae/DHAWeb/Account/UserRegistration.aspx

Step 1, click on the official site to Register https://eservices.dha.gov.ae/DHAWeb/Account/UserRegistration.aspx

Step 2, Fill all the information asked as per the information on your passport

Step 3, click on new professional license and fill the rest and then follow the below quoted information.

drkay:

Open that link on justi4jesu's response to your enquiry and follow those steps to register. You may be asked to wait for a day before you can use your newly created ID to proceed with your registration.

The requirements, Verification charges and minimum year of experience needed to proceed with the registration depend on your profession.

Generally, you need a scanned copy of the data page of your international passport, passport size photo with a white background, education certificate, letter of experience from previous employer(s) in the last 5 years(maximum), your current practicing license in your home country, your BSC/ MBBS or equivalent, good standing certificate from your licensing body( not more than 6 month, I am not sure if nurses/ MLS are asked to upload this).

Once you have those, start the uploading and label each document as directed. Make sure that you save each page as you upload.
Once you are done uploading, leave the page asking u to upload PSV report as that is meant for those who have done prometric exams before.
You will see a ''letter of authorization'', download and print it, sign it, scan it and upload it back.

After a day, you will be asked to proceed to payment for credentialing. its 220aed I think.
credentialing period varies, I waited for 6weeks.

Once your credentials are approved, you will be asked to pay for PSV, the amount defers with profession. That's the real verification when those things you submitted will be verified. once they confirm your payment, you don't need to wait, you can register for your exam immediately. you chose the date, location and time by yourself.

The exam is in line with your career. Generally, the questions and timing are very fair on candidates but you need to prepare well. prep materials depend on your profession. for GPs, its USMLE Step 2 ck.

You will be notified the outcome of the exam between 2-7 days via your email,if you pass, the eligibility letter will follow the mail and its valid for 1 year. during the period of validity, you are required to come and look for job here and your license will be processed by the facility that employ you.

DHA license takes less than 1 week to be delivered.

What he meant was that, getting a freelance visa might be a good option for you. It is quite expensive.

Web development skills is good. I will have to let you know the top dogs in that field in UAE are Indians and Filipinos. Don't be scared though....Oppurtunites are available. I will advice you to look at various job sites to see the demand first and the development stack you should concentrate in learning. No point learning a web development stack that either nobody needs here or many people already available to fill positions.

Are you a front end developer or back end developer? Or you a full stack web developer?

Access yourself and hit the jobsites. And if you are a developer already...it might be a good idea to be looking at remote jobs. With the pay you could get and getting that in Nigeria...makes lots of sense. But still stuck with Nigeria issues. But then....you won't have big overheads to pay for living in a developed city.

Best of luck.

Actually if u referring to the post u just quoted, what i meant is the cost of authentication of documents in UAE embassy which is 18k per doc, i thought the current price should be reflected @justi4jesu

Yeah on the issue of freelancer visa, that has not been extensively neen discuss here, but from the little forum members have shared, and little online research you show need some financial back bone

U made so many sense, what are the top jobsite, currently using dubbizle will like to have some additional job site to enable me scan through and see what area i need to build my skill on

I think bcus of the cost of living, one needs a normal paying job, if one has been able to make some few cash, he can think switching to a freelance visa
Well i will just stick around and see how things turns out
