Harry Kane is unlikely to play a further part in Tottenham Hotspurs Premier League and FA Cup duties this season as he has been confirmed ruled out for at least seven weeks by the injury he sustained in their 4-1 win against Bournemouth last weekend.

The 24-year-old damaged his ankle ligaments in the game and had to be substituted after just 34 minutes.

He now faces a race to be fit for England at the Russia 2018 World Cup, He is definitely ruled out of this Saturday’s FA Cup clash against Swansea, as well as crucial league deciders against Chelsea and Manchester City in May.


Kane’s injury blow is coming a week after Spurs were dumped out of the UEFA Champions League by Juventus at the Wembley Stadium.

He is now also unlikely to add to his huge haul of goals in all competitions already this season. Kane had been topping the Premier League goals chart on 24 goals and had been tied with Liverpool’s prolific Egyptian, Mohammed Salah who was also on 24.
