Miss Nollywood Beauty Pageant Organization paid courtesy call to Delta state Commissioner in charge of the Directorate of Culture and Tourism, Mr Emmanuel Chinye in Asaba. The outgoing Queen, Miss Precious Maduabuchi lead the delegation to familiarize with the government ahead of Miss Nollywood Beauty Pageant 2018/ Nollywood Honour Awards which comes up this Sunday 18th March, 2018.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Barakumo Solomon Odede, the President of the organization thanked the Commissioner and his staffs for receiving him and his team just a short notice. Barakumo Odede went further to enlightening the Commissioner of the intention of the organization; maintaining that Delta state has so far created platforms for the Movie Industry which has impacted positively. He stressed that because of the peaceful environment, low cost of commodities, filmmakers have chosen the state as destination for film making in Nigeria.

Miss Nollywood Organizer also noted that the Governor of Delta state, His Excellency, Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa has done so much in peace building, human capacity building and rural development. He concluded the organization look forward to partner the state in the future.

While speaking on the programme, the outgoing Queen, Miss Precious Maduabuchi thanked the Commissioner for receiving them without a bias mind. She urged the Honourable Commissioner to grace the occasion with other dignitaries to make it a memorable one.

In response to the gesture, the Commissioner thanked the team for their visit and promised to grace the ocassion with board of directors and others. He went further to say that, the state will be happy partner the Nollywood Organization in hosting the event next year in Delta state.

“Delta state is a peaceful state to stay and do any business. The Governor has done so much in peace building and will continue to do so so as to grow Nollywood…” He said
