Hello everyone, i'v been denied admission by the University of Ibadan. I applied via direct entry, i'm a diploma holder in computer science(distinction). I was so confident about my result that i didnt obtain this year direct entry form from jamb. I gave people my result to help me get admitted but i guess they did not work on it.
I dont know what to do,i'm beggining to loose interest in education,cuz almost 2 years will be wasted if im too wait till next year and apply again and my parent cannot my afford private university.
I'v a programming skill,i developed sqrim.com : a social community and a pay as u go streaming platform for premium audios and free streaming for basic audios(currently in beta vs). I'll be 21 this year.
Pls advice.

I don't think it's fair to shut someone down on the grounds of sentence construction. Your post isn't error free too and you're probably a graduate. So it is right to say you should have been denied yours then?

@OP, I advise you apply your skills to keep you busy for now, then reapply to other schools in the next direct entry or jamb application. There really isn't much you can do about this lost one.

prepare for the next ......pray and study harder .....pray as if what u read is not enough and read as if prayer cannot solve it .

Go ahead and acquire more skills relating to computer science. Most times, we graduate , get a job and don't even practice what we studied in school. Your skills stick with you for life.

go and do HND (preferably in a polytechnic affiliated to a University) or you go via DE to 300 Level after HND

Your post sparked up a bit of memory in me. You see I I'm my case wrote jamb 3 times passed all but no admission. The best solution I found for myself was to gather myself and go study abroad.
I know when I mention abroad you will ask who will sponsor me. Alot of schools offer sponsorship (I know a guy who pays #3850 in India as school fees, engineering o).
Besides the quality as to Nigeria's your also consider time saved in India a bsc is 3yrs, 4yrs for engineering.

Try again , I wrote jamb five times before getting admission , just don't give up , you can apply for a poly while still.studying to get admission in the University

You've developed yourself by obtaining those skills. I call it self development because you were not born with those skills. It's not really hard for someone like you. You're brilliant, you've got computer skills and above all, you're mature. You know what it takes to write an exam and you similarly know what it feels like to be denied admission.
A stitch in time saves nine. If you could put the past behind you and begin to study from now, you're golden. Go to some tutorial centers, get the best textbooks and more importantly, read them. Don't mingle with the big guys and girls of the tutorial center. Their parents might be able to afford private universities. Your parents won't.
If you wanna mingle, mingle with brilliant ones. You'd help each other in a lot of ways. If you're not at home, be in the library. I hope I've been able to help you out. Good luck in all your endeavors and don't ditch school... Ciao.

OP, pls don't stop trying. Always Remember that Abraham Lincoln was a failure at the beginning but he later became the most renowned U. S. A president. Myself as a case study, this year is the third time I have written jamb, I made my WAEC once,I am not a mediocre talk less of being dull. I chose federal universities for the last two years Unilorin and O. A. U respectively, they truly paused my dreams but I know all is not lost. My watchword has always being "A FAILURE IS SOMEONE THAT REFUSES TO TRY AGAIN ".I like the fact that you are occupying your mind with something, The sky will be your startpoint if you are resilient.

You have a programming skill and yet youre thinking about school if I had this programming skill some 13yrs ago I wouldn't have gone to school... i would have become an internet entrepreneur.
Bruhv school is overrated and a waste of time, you might not believe it but when you finally get there you wont doubt that belief.. take charge of your life now
