Sooo many people on here thinking that he should stay forever with the people that "brought him up" to fame and fortune. Granted that even most artistes themselves dont handle the issue well, there is no rule that says you must be loyal to the ones that discovered you. If there was, then why is there a contract in the first place? Its business and the label must have benefited from the said artistes. Mark my words, no label would enter into a contract with you with the expectation of not gaining anything.

When the contract is performed, parties are discharged and if 'loyalty' is that important, a new contract can be agreed upon. Till then, an artist is free to spread his/her wings and fly away. Its BUSINESS!

Nigerian singer Runtown a.k.a Sound god, has reacted to a viral report of getting sued by his former record label, Eric Many over breach of contract.

His tweets which is a sneak peek to his awaited press statement to the lawsuit saga, read;

Stopped fucking with these kids a month ago ,smh

When you live life beyond your means and go broke, don’t try to live off the next man.

This response would've been better, I don't bite the finger that feeds me and I don't talk about people who speak badly of me, I focus on the positives. you should say you appreciate all he!they did for you in the past but it was time to move on. Runtown, borrow these words and don't be an ingrate
