Summer is here. And so is the glaring sun. In other words, even if you don’t suffer from migraines or sinusitis, squinting for too long under the sun could mean a splitting headache. But when you can avoid that and look stylish at the same time, why think twice, right? Enter, sunglasses — those fragile accessories that can make you turn heads on a smouldering afternoon. So, now that we have your attention, let’s discuss the keys to choosing the perfect shades. First, try to buy a pair that balances fashion and functionality. You can opt for any frame that’s trending, but also ensure that the glasses are good enough to protect your eyes. Second is the current trend, which helps you stay fashion forward. In case you are confused, ask any shopkeeper; they are usually the best guides to trends. “It’s true that prices of sunglass have been affected by GST, but we have still stocked up on the latest designs,” said Mukesh Rauth, a sunglass vendor at a city market. And what designs was he talking about? Well, CT found that out for you. Check these out...

All-time favourites

A few things always remain constant in the dynamic fashion world. One of those are aviator sunglasses. Though designers have experimented with frames, this particular category has always been the first choice of customers. “Aviators have always been my first choice, as they cover a larger area around the eyes,” Solomon Das, a buyer browsing through the sunglass collection at New Market, told us.

Children’s Choice

Children’s sunglass designs are frequently changing, as most of these are often inspired by trending cartoon characters. But this summer, the trend is slightly different — the designs are not influenced by any cartoon character, but are available as a fusion of various colours.

The raees shades

In keeping with the trend set by Shah Rukh Khan in Raees, an entire range of sunglasses named after the film is available in the city this summer. “These shades cost around `150 and are fast growing popular with youngsters this summer,” said Md Jawed, a streetside vendor in New Market.

Fusion wear

Fusion sunglasses have always been around. And this summer, it’s either a fusion of colours or spectacle-sunglasses combos, popularly called folding glasses. “Customers like the coloured glasses with contrasting frames,” said Md Ibrar Nasim, who has a shop at New BK Market. Another new trend is the revival of the cats-eye sunglasses with crystal frames.

Trending lenses

Trending this year are mirrored glasses and polarised lenses. Rimless mirrored sunglasses have attracted a great number of customers. “I prefer these shades. I feel that it protects the eyes more as it reflects the UV rays,” agreed Ayan Samaddar, a student who is crazy about buying sunglasses.

GST Impact

The sale of sunglasses is not free from the impact of GST. “The sale is comparatively less this year due to the introduction of GST. So, we are offering discounts to attract more customers,” said Imran Ali, who sells sunglasses at Metro Plaza. “It’s apparent that we are facing problems. Usually by this time of the year, sales go up by leaps and bounds. But this year, we haven’t spotted any such trend,” added Irfan Khan, who is the owner of one of the oldest optical stores in New Market.Read more at:http://www.marieprom.co.uk/cheap-prom-dresses-online | http://www.marieprom.co.uk/prom-dress-uk
