It’s no news that few months ago there was talk of the town gig staged by Ibadan Businessman, owner of Makon Engineering, Seyi Makinde to celebrate his 50th birthday. In attendance at the lavish party was who-is-who in Nigeria and it was an avenue for him to officially declared his intention of contesting for the seat of the governor of Oyo state come next election.

What is new is that after the lavish party, staffs of Makon Engineering are now groaning with nonpayment of over 8 months’ salary. It was gathered that almost all the expatriate who works with Seyi Makinde have left the country unannounced after been owed several months of salary and allowances.
