AKERMAS ENERGY LIMITED IS LOOKING FOR INSPECTION PERSONNEL ON STRUCTURES AND PRESSURE EQUIPMENT

JOB SUMMARY
Confers with engineers, manufacturers, contractors, owners, and operators concerning problems in construction, operation, and repair.Witnesses acceptance and installation tests.Recommends or orders actions to correct violations of legal requirements or to eliminate unsafe conditions.


RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Inspects drawings, designs, and specifications for piping, boilers and other vessels.
2) Performs standard tests to verify condition of equipment and calibration of meters and gauges, using test equipment and hand tools.
3) Inspects gas mains to determine that rate of flow, pressure, location, construction, or installation conform to standards.
4) Evaluates factors, such as materials used, safety devices, regulators, construction quality, riveting, welding, pitting, corrosion, cracking, and safety valve operation.
5) Calculates allowable limits of pressure, strength, and stresses.
6) Examines permits and inspection records to determine that inspection schedule and remedial actions conform to procedures and regulations.
7) Keeps records and prepares reports of inspections and investigations for administrative or legal authorities.
Investigates accidents to determine causes and to develop methods of preventing recurrences.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
1. Must be able to demonstrate organizational, analytical, troubleshooting, and decision making abilities.

2. Must have a high school diploma.

3.Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.

4. Must be highly motivated.

5. Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team with shared responsibilities and resources.

6. Must be able to complete all tasks and assignments safely and environmentally responsibly, including disposal of hazardous waste.

7. Must be able to use computers and email for communication and reporting requirements.

8. May be required to carry a cell phone.

9. May be required to travel and stay overnight at various locations.
