Upcoming Artistes: 5 Reasons You Should See Music As Business And Not Fun by Dajoystick: 9:20am On Mar 27, 2018
Now, I am going to make this very short.

Music Industry today contains a lot of people ranging from Video Vixens down to the very last graphic designers. Every upcoming artistes have one goal in their career, that is to hit the limelight, and that is close to impossible if you see music as play or fun thing, here I have 5 reasons for you to take music as a business and not a joke.

1. The Expense: You have your song lyrics down carefully with the best vibes you got on an instrumental and paid the producer good amount, the audio engineer collected his share of good sum from you to mix and master your song all for what, for it to be commercially successful, and now you have the song and you share it with few of your friends and relatives, let me tell you that even if you don't want to blow, at least give that song the necessary publicity to a level. Think of how you will invest in a business and do the same to your song.

2. The Feel: Many Upcoming artistes so love it when they call them an UPCOMING artiste, the difference between upcoming and made artistes is that upcoming artistes spend money on music and never profit from music and made artistes spend money on music to earn more than they have spent. Stop feeling big being an upcoming artiste bro. Work towards been A Star.

3. Respect: Everyone respects a celebrity regardless of what he or she does, everyone wants to associates with him or her everywhere he or she is, think of being a celebrity then you will how it feels when you walk in to a shop and everyone starts taking a picture, all the girls starts blushing and so on, this will make you want to work harder, Rome wasn't built in a day but it wasn't taken with negligence either.

4. The Atmosphere: Have you ever attended a show where A Star is to perform, maybe Olamide or Wizkid, you will see people buying the ticket and even fight for where to stand to capture the perfect moment, I know you want that kind of life. Handle your music like you are handling a business today and see the outcome.

5. Royalty: This is the biggest of it all, Music is actually a business and a lucrative one at that, if you take your music seriously now, you will still be getting paid even after you are dead and no more.

but it doesn't take a day to be there, the reason you start singing is because you love singing, why not try all your best to promote yourself and give your musical career all it deserves, it doesn't come cheap, you have to spend a lot and don't feel like whatever you spend is wasted, you are gonna gain it back in thousand folds plus the fame that follows. Take your music seriously like you would take a business and don't ever relent. I pray you are all gonna hit the limelight soon. Peace.
