MMM FOUNDER SERGEI MAVRODI DIES OF HEART ATTACK
Sergei Mavrodi, a Russian businessman whose Mavrodi Mundial Moneybox (MMM) pyramid scheme deprived millions of Russians of their savings in the 1990s, has died of a heart attack, according to Russia media.
Reports said the 62-year-old was rushed to the hospital late on March 25 with pain in his chest and died several hours later.

EU BANK UNVEILS $25M SOLAR SYSTEM PROJECT FOR AFRICA
The European Investment Bank (EIB–the EU bank) yesterday, signed a $25m financing installation of off-grid solar systems with the aim of strengthening access to energy in Nigeria and four other African countries.
Vice-President of the bank, Ambroise Fayolle, who announced the project at the ongoing 6th Africa CEO Forum in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, listed other countries included as Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, said the energy would be supplied via solar kits that do not require a grid, which are easy to use and inexpensive for users, to come in a pre-payment system.

FIRS CHAIRMAN, FOWLER LAUDS OSUN STATE’S REVENUE DRIVE
Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Babatunde Fowler, has commended the revenue drive of the Osun State government.
He made the commendation when he visited the state Governor, Rauf Aregbesola in Osogbo, the state capital.
