Honorable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Emmanuel I. Kachikwu, received His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) David Victor Folagbade Olateru-Olagbegi III, the Olowo of Owo. His Royal Majesty applauded the ongoing reforms in the petroleum sector whilst name-checking the leadership.


Olowo of Owo stool is one of the most revered traditional institution in Yoruba land , in some quarters it has been said to be at par with that of Ife while some say it's second. The Royal Father has used this visit to demonstrate that the role of traditional fathers in the country is important. As a cultural ambassador to the people, the Olowo of Owo's visit is welcomed in this time that people need to build bridge and fill in void that is lacking in the traditional setting and modern democracy .
