A Delta state high court today sentenced High Chief Newton Agbofodoh the Unuevwhoro (Traditional ruler) Of Ekpan Community who is also the uncle to the sacked former uvwie local government council chairman Hon. Henry Baro to death by hanging

It will be recalled that the traditional ruler was arrested at about 2:45pm on the 17th of June 2016 at Ekpan by a team of anti-kidnapping Opts ACPOL Warri led by Inspector James Daniel in connection with murder of John Mugidi on 16/5/16, and murder of Joseph Utu­edor on 27/5/16;
“The Murder of Edigbe Ikpesa sometime in Oc­tober 2012, and the Delta Mall robbery/wanton de­struction in January 2016. The suspect is linked to se­ries of killings within Ekpan and effort is being intensi­fied to arrest his cohorts.”
