Mariam Haruna is a youth corps member serving in Lagos State. She makes beautiful veils and turbans from African fabrics, the head covers have identical designs with those made with silk and some imported fabrics. The graduate of Sociology and Anthropology from Obafemi Awolowo University said she created SCARFrik because she believes in making the best out of your locality and culture, our local fabrics can be made into whatever we want. "All we have to do is modify our mentality and accept it, corporate wears does not only entails suits and shirts made with silk or the likes but we can create and define our corporate wears". She says due to capital she is starting small for now but hopes to expand really soon. Check out pictures of her beautiful designs #SCARFrik. She can be reached on 08186797042
