Presidency To Nigerians: Count Your Blessings Under Buhari by ManirBK: 9:19pm On Apr 04, 2018
The Presidency on Wednesday asked Nigerians to count the blessings brought to the economy by President Muhammadu Buhari's administration.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, said in a statement that this was "irrespective of the other areas where the government is still working hard to ensure that every citizen can feel the change for which they massively voted in 2015."
Shehu stated: "We are only saying that we must learn to pause and count our blessings. The loud voices of critics with selfish ambitions and ulterior motives should not be a veil that keeps Nigerians blind to the many ways God has blessed us and improved our lot through the Buhari administration."
According to him, "Last year, the World Bank ranked Nigeria among the top 10 reforming economies in the world. This was clearly in recognition of the thorough and rigorous growth and development- oriented economic policies of the Buhari Administration.
"Today, investors and business men and women from around the world can arrive in Nigeria and get their visas right at the airport without any hassle. This is just one of the many reasons why Nigeria has advanced 24 steps in the global ‘Ease of Doing Business’ rankings of the World Bank."

The govt of Yaradua/GEJ budgeted N63billion to construct Abuja Airport runaway. But the mind-boggling price was discarded by Buhari. He eventually spent N5.8billion to do it.
* Before Buhari JAMB remitted N50 million into government's coffer since its inception but Buhari made a whopping N7. 8 billion in a year. (check Vanguard Newspaper 12th Dec 2017)
*Customs generate N1 trillion in 2017... First ever in the history of Nigeria. ( Read Premium Times, 21st Dec 2017)
*The external foreign reserves moves to $40.1 billion despite the poor sales of crude oil. He met $29.6 billion despite the $120 sales of crude oil, the highest ever.
*FIRS generated N2.11 trillion in 6 months. This is first in the history of Nigeria. (Read Leadership newspaper 28th April 2017)
*Buhari requested for $1 billion to fight Boko Haram while his predecessor's spent N4. 1trillion ($30 billion)
*Nigeria's image international was lurid but it's relatively better now. Harassment at the foreign airports has indeed reduced drastically.
*Our soldiers were a mockery as some ran to Cameroon barefooted to evade Boko Haram's terror. Today our soldiers are chasing the terrorists into hideouts instead.
*How about Nigeria producing 80% of rice here in Nigeria as against 90% imported rice previously.
.... All these at $45 per barrel(thank God it's a bit better now)
Etc etc...
