Timelines: The Nexus Between Buhari And Boko Haram! 1. In 2012, Boko Haram a renowned terrorist group opted for dialogue with the Federal Government under @GEJonathan. The group according to media reports nominated President Buhari as mediator. That's a landmark historical event Nigerians can't ignore. This is a thread 2. In 2013, President Buhari faulted the Federal Government's action against the terrorist group. He accused the government of killing and destroying their houses while the Niger Delta militants were given special treatment by the government. 3. In 2014, the media reported an attack on President Buhari in Kaduna. Buhari said he was the target of the bomber while his loyalist Rotimi Fashakin said “I’m sure political Boko Haram are behind the attack”. Boko Haram did not claim the attack till date. 4. In 2015, Buhari became president and later declared that he is ready to negotiate with the dreaded Boko Haram terrorists without any preconditions. In October 2016, the government paid the terrorist group what the London Guardian of October 14, 2016 called a “‘handsome ransom’ worth millions of dollars” in exchange for the release of 21 Chibok girls. “Millions of dollars” would add up to at least a billion naira. 6. As a reward for releasing 84 Chibok girls, the Buhari government paid Boko Haram a €2 million ransom, which adds up about N705 million, according to the Wall Street Journal of December 4, 2017. 7. On January 15, 2018, the federal government freed 244 “repentant” Boko Haram members. How the hell did they know that they are “repentant”? And what does that even mean? If you know tell me. 8. Again on February 11, 2018, the government paid Boko Haram an unspecified amount of money to free 13 hostages. In essence, Boko Haram now has a bigger, fiercer, more menacing war chest—financed from Nigeria’s public treasury— than the Nigerian military. 9. Meanwhile, in addition to paying the terrorists N705 million in 2017, five notoriously vicious Boko Haram commanders in the custody of Nigerian authorities were released. Recently, the government freed another 526 Boko Haram members, according to CNN. 10. According to BBC Hausa and Daily Trust, our soldiers who came close to capturing Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau were told to back off by unnamed honchos in Abuja. Who gave the order? 11. On Monday last week 110 pupils of the Government Science and Technical College in Dapchi, Yobe State, remain unaccounted for after Boko Haram terrorists invaded their school. Then, a lot of lies started flying around. 12. NOTE | Daily Trust- largest circulating newspapers in Northern Nigeria. The New Telegraph- chaired by Dr. Orji Kalu who is a member of APC The Nation, you know the owner They all published a LIE from the pit of hell on the front page. 13. After the negotiations between this government and Boko Haram, Buhari paid approximately N2 billion to rescue 105 Chibok girls and released 775 Boko Haram members. 14. After claiming that they have defeated Boko Haram, they are now using the same Boko Haram to loot our treasury in preparation for 2019 election. Approving whooping $1 billion (about N360 billion) to fight the acclaimed defeated Boko Haram is a tragedy. That is N10 billion per state if divided by 36 states. *Is this not a government of Boko Haram by Boko Haram for Boko Haram?* Help to share above information. . |
