QuotaSystem: And how is the average northerner who has been enjoying this so called relevance better than the average Igbo? How is the average Ijaw man whose brother ruled Nigeria for 5-6 years better than the average Igbo man cos Jonathan was the president? Does the average Daura man have a more meaningful life at present than the average man in Nnewi? What is all this noise about Igbo presidency all about, if not just for the bragging rights? 5 Likes 1 Share |

igbodefender:The only reason you want an Igbo president is just for ethnic pride and nothing else. That's a silly reason. Instead of campaigning for actions to change a lot of things going wrong in Nigeria you are focused on Igbo presidency which at the end of the day will not solve the biggest issues we are facing in this country hindering our development. 2 Likes |

QuotaSystem:" vote Buhari, or continue to remain irrelevant in issues of governance in this country" Same shit that has kept us back. Voting a clown becouse of personal and ethnic interest. Not for national interest. Am still trying to figure out how relevant Niger Delta and Bayelsa is and was during and after the time they have their son in the seat of power. My brother, ndi Igbo need no presidency. What we need is equity, justice, and good governance with restructuring in view. And if it hard for Nigeria to grant such. Then the agitation for Biafra will continue and will continue to be the only option most igbos can see. 5 Likes |

limeta:Islam is not THE problem of Nigeria, it is just one of many, but I think your stupidity and bigotry are even bigger problems. You'll have Biafra when: 1) You stop your hate-speech in the name of agitation, and make your demands like civilized humans in a civilized society 2) You stop issuing inciting threats to the Nigerian state and its people 3) You manage to lobby the constitutionally recognized political representatives of the South East to table secessionist demands at the center 4) When these representative succeed at pushing for the inclusion of a secession clause in the constitution, that would free your demand for breakaway from the vocabularies of treason and illegality 5) Then you can have your referendum and collectively determine your future and destiny as a people with demands and a recognized political representation to back it up, not as bitter, frustrated miscreants and thugs But if you insist on getting it unconstitutionally, carrying out illegal campaigns, making illegal demands and treasonable declarations, while having no regard for due process and the democratic order in place, you're certain to get an uncivil and malevolent response to your uncivil behavior which might result in misery. You can't get your independence peacefully without going about it lawfully. That would be nothing but contempt for the state, its constitution, rules and regulations, and the ensuing response might be disastrous since you'll be criminals by then. No matter how legitimate and noble you think your cause might be, if you do not follow the rules in pursuing it, and accepting already established protocols in making your demands, you can never get it peacefully. That would be tantamount to rebellion, revolution, or an uprising against the establishment, and if you're fine with having it that way, do not lament and wail as victims about the consequences of your actions, because you brought it upon yourselves. If you triumph, you'll have your independence and your own republic. If you lose, your agony and misery are multiplied. Choose wisely. 5 Likes 1 Share |

I weep for Nigeria. Going through this thread Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo setting up permutations about an ethnic capture of the Presidency. Nigeria doesn't matter. Nigeria's problems are not the focus - it's all my tribe, my tribe, my tribe. Our suffering as a people will continue since we have decided to keep doing the same things that have brought us low into this quagmire. We go suffer. Sorry my brothers and sisters, there's no redemption in sight for this country. |

Is Igbo presidency the problem of Nigeria? Have you asked yourself how the governors in these eastern states fared? ain't they all the same? we keep doing the same thing the same way and we expect change. where will the change come from? 1999- 2019 (20 years) and we're still in the same shithole we found ourselves. |

It's better to see a development in all igbo land than to have a presidency that can't guarantee development. It's better to grow technologically than to have a leader that can't see what's happening in the east. It's better we the igbos work hand in hand to agitate for whatever we want or need from the Nigerian president than to have a president that cannot listen to us. There was a Yoruba president yet no development in the west apart from Lagos. There was an ijaw president yet the people still lives in abject poverty. There was an Hausa Fulani president yet the people re still backward, no development, they are poor like the Sri Lanka. All these Nigerian re suffering because of what their forefathers did to biafran in Nigerian Civil War. Now they're tired of ruling Nigerian . They want an igbo man to come and change the bad situation that's making Nigerian not to move forward. If you want an igbo man to become the president, you must skip the likes of rochas and OUK. We know our leaders. Only an igbo man will take Nigerian out of doom. Igbo amaka. 3 Likes |
