Football is full of odd little coincidences that the media
just love to call ‘fate‘. There are a couple of unpredicted
things that happen at the same time or even repeatedly.
Do you remember Zambia winning the Cup of Nations in
the same place where their 1993 team lost their lives?
What about Atletico Madrid winning the Europa League?
Or James Rodriguez curse on Carlo Ancelotti? Today we
will take a look at the amazing Football coincidences:

7. Paul Scholes complete games and goals

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes scored on his
debut, his 100th game, his 200th game, his 300th game,
his 400th game, his 500th game and his 700th
game. Granted the goal in his 200th game was an own
goal, and failed to score on his 600th, but that’s still fairly
remarkable.

6. James Rodriguez curse on Carlo Ancelotti
In 2014, when James Rodriguez joined Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti was the manager. It didn’t take much time before he gots sacked. Ancelotti went on to Bundesliga and become Bayern Munich boss. During summer 2017, the Colombian forward signed for Bayern. And a few months later, Ancelotti, the manager of the club, was sent off his duties again. What’s wrong between the two?

5. Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi VS their firstborns
Some things may happen for a purpose. Did you know that the difference in Messi’s age and Ronaldo’s age is 869 days? The same difference between Messi and Ronaldo’s son. Maybe they may grow up to become another record-breaking duo in the years to come.

4. The legend of a name “LUIS SUAREZ” in Barcelona
FC Barcelona must have some blessings with the name “Luis Suarez”. Many people know the Uruguayan Luis Suarez as FC Barcelona’s best and fearsome striker. But he isn’t the only holder of that name to grace Barcelona. Back in 1960, Barcelona had an extraordinary striker named Luis Suarez. He became the ONLY Spanish player to win the Ballon d’Or.

3. Sweden seems to be a nightmare for Italy football team
One could say that Italy has no chances in going to Sweden! Italy has missed out of the World Cup on TWICE in their football history. Sweden must be responsible for both misses! The first World Cup Italy national team missed took place in Sweden in 1958. The only second time ever was 2018 World Cup when Sweden kicked them out. A 0-0 draw with Sweden in the second leg of the European play-off round sealed their fate.

2. Zambia winning the Cup of Nations in the same place where their 1993 team lost their lives
The 1993 Zambia national football team air disaster occurred in the late evening of 27 April 1993. That’s when a Zambian Air Force de Havilland Canada DHC-5D Buffalo (registration AF-319) crashed into the Atlantic Ocean about 500 meters offshore from Libreville, Gabon. The flight was carrying most of the Zambian national football team to a FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Senegal in Dakar. All 25 passengers and five crew members were killed. Zambia came back in 2012 in the same place. Winning their first Africa Cup of Nations title by beating tournament favorites Ivory Coast on penalties. One could easily say that God wanted them to finish the journey started by their countrymates.
