Nairaland is gradually turning into a porn site. The front page is full of news related to sex and other rubbish. I joined this website since 2012 and I won't like to see it turned into a forum for immoral people. Please I suggest you restrict erotic posts to the romance section so the immoral ones can go and do their thing there.

I've stayed out of nairaland for weeks now due to this. Do something about it please.

Well I checked the front page and nothing for now unlike few weeks ago when it was filled with atrocious Pictures.

What i dont like in nairaland, is the frontpage full of threads with graphic pictures.

My 2 cents is dat the frontpage must be for relevant thread who has received already some level of views and replies. But some Mods put there threads with 0 pages!!

Another issue is people coming her to post topics, you open the topic and you see a link. Most of these people are obviously trying to use these links to install some kind of spamming or phishing tool. Common Seun, something needs to be done about this, my mother likes to read news and I introduced her to your site, I don't want to end up feeling that I made a terrible mistake doing so. Please implement better security features on your site.

I would love to give examples but that would take quite a lot of time that I don't have right now. There's this famous quote whenever such posts come up "la click,la bend" ...lol. honestly thought I feel like whenever a story is posted here, there should not even be a link leading to another site or whatever, I'm in nairaland to read news from nairaland not to be directed to another site. There should be some sort of security feature that disables such posts immediately except it's something that will be extremely beneficial to the masses.

I believe the thread was closed, it was on the 'trending' page. The link was supposedly to a Facebook story but when clicked on, it showed the usual Facebook logon page with 'you must log in first'. Some smart guy checked the address bar and saw it was not Facebook but 'gist****' and alerted the mods. The op quickly changed the opening post to "Thank You Jesus", but the furst commenter had already quoted it. I don't have evidence because I didn't save the link to the thread, though.

If you could ask your mods to regularly monitor the 'trending' page, you'd see the kind of threads the op talks about

Seun, Nairaland Frontpage is now a page for the promotion of softporn and gore!

We are being gradually desensitized to gore, and being forced to see hear and talk sex perpetually.

In all the shootings in America, how many times did we see any gory pictures? How many times did we see 't'apa t'itan' on their blogs and forums and major news sites? But not Nairaland, all the gore and gory pictures will be posted on FP. We will not be desensitized, we refuse to be desensitized, we are not animals, and we will not live by the rules of the jungle.
