First gaming phone? U probably have not heard of the razr phone relaased last year. 5.7 inch qhd display, 8gb of RAM, 4,000mah battery, very lound front stereo speakers, 120hz refresh rate and can display up to 120 frames per seconds. 1 Like |

xreal: The funny thing is that mobile games are moving at a slower rate than the hardwares available. I don't see a mobile game available out there that a phone with snapdragon 810 and 3gb of RAM will not handle flawlessly. Adding 8gb of RAM and calling it a gaming phone is an overkill, especially when there are no games to take advantage of the hardware. 4 Likes |

greenhulk: Nah! In the world of Software Engineering, the biggest limitation is the hardware, especially when related to CPU intensive applications like games. More hardware means more explorable space for the game developer, and means better games, better gaming experience, better everything. |

bot101: U don't get me. Developers are not even making games to take full advantage of hardwares that we have now. The most graphics intesnsive Android game is still asphalt 8 and injustice 2. Asphalt 8 has been available for over 3 yrs now while hardwares have grown so much in the last 3 years. A phone with 3gb of RAM and even mtk p20 chip will run asphalt 8 without any problems. Even some cheap phones with 2gb of RAM still run asphalt 8 with no issues. So tell me whats the need for gaming phones with 8gb of RAM when there are no games to take full advantage of the hardware? 3 Likes |

Brinebryne: Asphalt 9 will be out soon though and will require minimum of 3gb of RAM to run on android. Lets see what it brings. Its already out on IOS in some countries and the review I'm getting, looks like its insane. Anyone with an iphone can download Asphalt 9, just open a Philippines iTunes acct and download for free. |

greenhulk:Wah you saying ![]() ![]() Asphalt and injustice are what ![]() ![]() Bulletforce and modern combat 5 are even more graphic demanding than those two games. Talk less of Nba2k17 or PUBG with maxed out settings. |

greenhulk:greenhulk you a true mobile phone enthusiast, I'm really disappointed in the mobile game ecosystem. I think the reason for this is that developers are more interested in developing simple addictive games like candy crush because studies has shown that they are very profitable and most people don't want gaming over battery life. But battery life has really improved and with quick charging but developers are still yet to do anything new and it's really sad. |

daamazing: I know modern combat and it's not that graphics intesnsive as asphalt 8. Even if it is, u get my point that asphalt 8 is still one of the most graphics demanding mobile games out for many years now. U will hardly see a reviewer put a phone to serious test without including asphalt 8 in his test. And all those games u mentioned will still run decent on most phones with 2gb of RAM and a decent processor, they will run flawlessly on any phone with snapdragon 800 series chip and 3gb of RAM. So what are we now saying? |
Re: See First Real Image Of Xiaomi Black Shark, World First Truly Gaming Phone by daamazing(m): 2:47pm On Apr 09, 2018 |
greenhulk:You're so totally wrong ![]() You're speaking of games of old and saying they're demanding. Modern combat 5 is graphics demanding than asphalt. Even NFS no limits is madly graphic demanding than MC5 and asphalt. Have you tried shadow gun legends? Do you know demanding it is? Have you tried PUBG with maxed out settings? Have you played half life 2? Have you played into the dead 2 at max settings? And speaking of modern combat and asphalt 8, do you max out the graphic settings? Stop using Google to check for graphic intensive games because you'll most likely get old results. Cheers 2 Likes 1 Share |

daamazing: Lol, what are you even talking about? Like modern combat 5 is a new game? Look I get it, u are the master of mobile phone gaming, I don't play games on mobile phones because they all suck anyway, I can't play games with soft keyboard except casual time waster games. U need a gamepad or keyboard to really get immersed in a game, so playing games on mobile device? Not my thing. The phones that can run these high intensive games have small batteries, the phones with big batteries have shitty processors. If I want to play graphics demanding games I turn to my PS4. |

greenhulk:True tho @bolded. But that's why there are iPads ![]() Some Nice console and PC games are already being ported to mobile devices. Fortnite is close, PUBG is here already.. more are coming. there's still hope for mobile gaming |

greenhulk:I think the absence of physical buttons might actually be one of the issues with mobile gaming. Developers won't want to work on what won't sell. Maybe if someone can build a gaming smartphone with controllers like the Nintendo switch (joycon) things might change. Imagine playing multi players by detaching both joycons ![]() |

Re: See First Real Image Of Xiaomi Black Shark, World First Truly Gaming Phone by Nobody: 6:37pm On Apr 09, 2018 |
directonpc: There have been some mobile phones and tablets that we're built with physical controllers for gaming, remember the Sony play? And there are many gamepads that can be attached to phones for better gaming. The problem is there's no much support for mobile phone gaming. Developers make most of these games for touchscreen since that is what majority of users are gonna be using. So they are reluctant to spend resources to make those games that will take full advantage of physical controllers. U can imagine a developer investing time and money to make a solid game like God of war for mobile, or super Mario maker (3ds quality), or call of duty, definitely it's not going to be free, let's say he sells it for $20 and must be played with a controller... How many people do u think will pay for it, how many people will buy controller just to play game on a mobile phone? They will rather buy a dedicated mobile gaming console.

greenhulk:Wow, that said, I guess the future of mobile gaming on regular Android and iOS doesn't seem so bright right now. I have a feeling more heavy graphics mobile games were released between 2011-2014 than from 2015-present. |
