Re: My Favourite Perfumes by jgirl3: 10:15pm On Mar 15, 2007 |
Muki, let me explain it to you. I saw the perf, i smelt it and i thought it was too strong Yet I bought it I put it on me the first day and i hated it Yet when the second day rolled around, it was that perf i used. Till today, i'm still using it and i still believe that it's too strong and i still hate that smell on me. |
Re: My Favourite Perfumes by waleleader(m): 10:15pm On Mar 15, 2007 |
@mukina2, it will take a bit of will power but u can do it. Except if you are ashmatic, then you may want to avoid perfumes. Some female perfumes still make me sneeze but its nothing compared to ten years back. @j-girl, SJP has been in the market before Beyonce's perfume, except the true star one she did for Tommy Hilfiger |
Re: My Favourite Perfumes by jgirl3: 10:21pm On Mar 15, 2007 |
It's even true star. Diddy's unforgivable was really nice but now i'm just against celeb perfs. I think Armani, Ck, Guess, Estee Lauder, Lacoste, Hugo Boss, Versace and Tommy Hilfiger do more justice to perfs than celebs do. |

Re: My Favourite Perfumes by jgirl3: 10:28pm On Mar 15, 2007 |
@ walelead, i guess i have a new perf to track then. I'll find out about it @ omo eko, thanks girl. I also heard about kenneth cole's new perf. Apparently it's supposed to dazzle but i'll soon judge that by myself. |
Re: My Favourite Perfumes by OmoEko1(f): 10:30pm On Mar 15, 2007 |

Re: My Favourite Perfumes by waleleader(m): 10:36pm On Mar 15, 2007 |
Omo Eko: Im afraid my perfumers dont have it yet, but ill look out for it. Ill speak to my mates as well in case they come accross it. There are so many nice perfumes that are not easily obtainable in the UK, u guys in Naija and America are lucky |
Re: My Favourite Perfumes by jgirl3: 10:40pm On Mar 15, 2007 |
walelead, what are you saying? I buy most of my perfs on my way to London (usually duty free shop) but you guys get all the perfumes first and get the best qualities. |
Re: My Favourite Perfumes by OmoEko1(f): 10:45pm On Mar 15, 2007 |
j-girl:girl y are u buying it at duty free don't u realized it's damn expensive there. i only buy it there when am traveling |
Re: My Favourite Perfumes by waleleader(m): 10:46pm On Mar 15, 2007 |
Thats at Heathrow, Harrods or selfridges, they are not available on the high street. I cant be bothered to go all the way |
Re: My Favourite Perfumes by jgirl3: 11:19pm On Mar 15, 2007 |

Re: My Favourite Perfumes by Bolarge(m): 11:42am On Mar 16, 2007 |
j-girl: OMG!! Y'know u just confirmed one of my worst fears.I bought a Hugo Boss perf 'bout 3yrs ago 'cos I'd heard so much 'bout it.Yeah it smelt really nice but wldn't linger for more than 30mins.To say I spent a fortune on it. After about an hour of using it,I might as well have sprinkled pure water. Thank God I haven't had a repeat of that misfortune but I haven't tried Hugo Boss ever since. Does anyone have tips on how one can avoid being conned like this? |
Re: My Favourite Perfumes by jgirl3: 6:50pm On Mar 16, 2007 |
Buy perfs from only trusted places. Even mall perfs are to be doubted. All those little ones with the carts might be sometimes good and sometimes not. But if you're going to buy them in malls, buy them from the big ones like Macy's or Foley's |
