As much as I want brutal leaders punished, Africa shouldn't submit cheaply to ICC any longer.

Let ICC bear its fangs against the West too.

There's this twisted tradition that Buhari has stuck with
right from the beginning of his administration, and that is
his refusal to communicate primarily with the electorates
but relays Nigerian issues and policies to foreigners. The
first time he talked about when he'd appoint ministers, it
was in a foreign country. His infamous 97%-5% remark was
in a foreign country. His response to his own wife's support
was in Germany. His first statement about loot recovery
was in Iran. His first speech about Nigerians enslaved in
Libya was outside the country. Now, he's talking about
herdsmen migrating from Libya in the UK. He travels to
more nations of the world than the states of his own country
and speaks more to foreign journalists than Nigerian ones.
This man hates the masses and his administration will go
down as the worst in Nigerian history in terms of effective
communication. Now ICC is also on his trail.
Obasanjo at least held monthly media chat and briefings on live television where journalists and Nigerians called in to ask questions
Buhari has never spoken directly to Nigerians since becoming president.

I'm waiting to see how he will dodge the presidential candidate debate that will be organized towards 2019 elections

The ICC President described as inaccurate and erroneous the impression that Article 27 of the Rome Statute that prohibits immunity being extended to any head of state or senior government officials was targeted at African leaders.

He said the provision and the reason for that portion of the Rome Statute predated

I love this...

"Two cases against the military"

They thought they could kill tge. Ipob youths and go Scot free. When they were told that the operation Python dance was well documented, filed and sent to the ICC they thought it was a joke. Watch as Burutai will face the ICC, jailed with his Fulani master.

"Responding, Osuji commended Nigeria for its support to the ICC and assured that the court would continue to work against injustice and abuse of powers in its area of jurisdiction."

Excellent diplomatic reply. What does malami intend to achieve by presenting his failed case. He can only move in the direction indicated by his overlords. Creating laws to declare an unarmed group terrorist while BH are insurgents and Herdsmen who have consistently increased their killing spree are criminals. Anyone noticed how they've increased their rampage on Taraba since TY Danjumas call for self defense?

"The ICC President described as inaccurate and erroneous the impression that Article 27 of the Rome Statute that prohibits immunity being extended to any head of state or senior government officials was targeted at African leaders."

Even the international humanitarian community has identified 'Bad governance' as one of the key issues affecting development and self sufficiency in the African Continent. After what happened to Charles Taylor, its proven to them, these Afonja rulers that the day of reckoning is not to far. If the fear of ICC will cause them to do better, then better. Although I highly doubt its effect on this current maladministration.

He assured the ICC president that Nigeria being “a country that believes in the operation of the rule of law, fundamental freedom and the need to fight impunity in all ramifications”

Scam. Rule of law my foot.

Don't go there; Africa has majority of the worst leaders our world has on offer.

The day a Nigerian president will make a move to remove Nigeria from the membership of ICC, he shall be resisted.

If Jonathan had been a reasonable man, he would have used ICC to pick up Buhari when he made that baboons' blood comment that led to 2011 post elections killings. Of course, he's as clueless as Buhari who should never have been president

Why are they jittery?

If you can cock your gun, aim at unarmed civilians and pull the trigger, you should be able to stand and take responsibility for whatever comes afterwards.

Except of cause you are a coward that is only 'powerful' where the vulnerable are concerned.

Malami said the ICC had “escalated” eight potential cases against Nigeria from “the initial preliminary examination to preliminary investigation”.

Six of the cases were said to be against Boko Haram and two against the military.

And my people from the East will not calm down first to know which cases are against the military. undecided

ICC may not be kickbacked/bribed, else Nigeria government would have polluted ICC with bribery corruption so that ICC president or court official would speak in their favour because of bribes they received from the icc officials, Nigeria government said that they fight corruption but they fight against the truth instead. What i see Nigeria fight is against Human Rights. Biafra as example of Nigeria injustice, Biafra whom Nigeria expelled in 1966 and started fight against Biafra from 1967 to this date. Nigeria is against Human Rights.
