KENDRICK LAMAR BECOMES FIRST RAPPER TO WIN PULITZER PRIZE
US rapper Kendrick Lamar, on Monday, won the Pulitzer Prize for music for his album “DAMN”.

His win was contained in an announcement by the Pulitzer Prize organisers.

Lamar, 30, is the first rapper to win the prestigious award. The Pulitzer follows the five Grammy awards won by Lamar in January for the same album.

NIGERIANS APPLAUD BEYONCE FOR HONOURING FELA, CHIMAMANDA AT COACHELLA
Some Nigerians on Twitter have applauded the American music star, Beyonce for paying tribute to Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti and honouring Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Adichie.

Beyonce, who became the first black woman to headline Coachella on Saturday, did so with a two-hour performance and had her band perform a rendition of Fela’s 1976 classic ‘Zombie’.

BEYONCE THROWS COACHELLA HOMECOMING WITH DESTINY’S CHILD REUNION

It’s a sad day for the Nigerian entertainment industry as legendary Nollywood actor and Artistic Director, Tony Aleg has passed on.

Popularly known as Green Onions, Aleg died after battling an undisclosed ailment.
