i dont think You understand what's called enabling environment. No creativity can come out where the environment doesnt allow its flow. China, Indonesia and the likes are a good example. A country can't flourish where theres insecurity n other political n economical ill-factors like high interest rate, poor educational system. Pls back ur point by listing out inventors who came from terrible countries like Nigeria wivout any wealthy or influencial parents. Baba biko think before you talk. And mind U i graduated with a 2,1 in Electronic/Computer Engineering buh I am a successful poultry farmer. So think deep before U hit back. There is a model called PESTEL analysis, I learnt while doing ICAN. Pls google it. Its used to scan the Business environment while Analysing a company's strategic position. Maybe U will understand that you dont just start a business cos U r skillfull buh because the environment supports it. So sir Govt policies e.g fiscal policy, monetary policy, supply side policy, education policies n the likes av massive effect on a nation's economy. Wonder how you didnt even see Voting an Illiterate who doesnt even know how to spell Macroeconomics as a problem but fast to judge the Nigerian youths. You against Nollywood, US economy is saved by the entertainment and sports industry presently cos China have taken over, hence why Trump is head-on against China. I once recall in Dubai when we did a cleaning job with loading and unloading inclusive, we Africans guys.(5 Nigeria, 2 Cameroon) did the job a day. With no food just to be loyal with our albab to give us visa.
He protected for the non availability of food and he sacked us.
He employed some Pakistan's guys and it's was funny that what took us a day is taking this guys 2 to 3 days. The albab knows we are hardworking and what he did was to stylishly call us back. Nigerians are not lazy. If you are I am not. 8 Likes 1 Share |

How can the youths be productive when all the political positions are held by old cargoes? Why can't the youths be lazy in a country where they can't secure loans to start off a petite business? Why can't the youths be lazy in a country where employment is based on the connection you have and not eligibility? Before you mutter accusations and blames on youths, Mention platforms the government put in place to encourage creativity and empowerment? Are the youths automatically supposed to make capital appear? Youre are looking at the effect of a bad government and confusing it as the result of the Nigerian youth nonchalant attitude towards self empowerment. Ok i have an idea. A very creative business idea that would not just grant me self employment but will also empower over 1000 youths. Its obvious no body would be of help. Not the government, not the private sector and definitely not YOU! you talking drugs. Drug is the consequence of a dead end. Many youths have reached that dead end because no one is doing anything about the constant degrading economy. Where do you expect them to turn to? Can you blame them? Shun that so called creativity youre talking about. Inso far as those basic things required to live like human biengs in this country continues to be difficult to acquire (light, food, clothing and shelter). I dont want to argue with u bro.. because i can see that u have made up ur mind to defend this senseless statement. Pls, tell ur leader to provide Nigerian youths with stable electricity, access to stable, affordable and fast internet connection, make schemes available for people to easily have their own house, provide water, make fuel cheaper and available, build research hubs, build good roads, make it easier for me to travel to Lagos, Enugu, PH, Kano, etc, faster and cheaper. If ur leader can do these, Nigerian youths will do well. Above all, tell ur leader to improve our educational systems. It is sad how we think education starts and ends in university. My brother, one of the most important education is the primary school education and the secondary school education. Citizens of developed countries can do far better with secondary school education. Have u seen where our kids learn? Creativity is either gotten naturally by birth or developed by the educational system. The pry and seconday school systems we run here are poor and will only make majority of the population dull and mentally lazy. If ur leader doubts me, he can enroll his kids to govt owned pry and secondary schools. It is sad we dont know the importance of pry and secondary schools to the development of youths! Our youths are exposed to environment lacking creativity and motivation. I grew up from police barracks and i can tell u that i lacked motivation. I went to a useless govt pry and secondary schools. It took extra ordinary works for me to find my head. Bro, forget sentiments, Nigerians have been robbed by both Buhari and other leaders.. when it is time for wealth to circulate to those of us who struggled to graduate from school with good grades, we try to apply to get jobs at CBN, SON, FIRSC, etc (u know those lucrative agencies in FG), we dont get such jobs. Same jobs are given to same kids whose parents failed to give us standard pry, secondary and university educational systems. The same people who already have plenty, they still go about occupying such positions. Is that okay by u? Judge ur heart! Go out there and see how Nigerians work their ass out to make a living! I can put it to u that majority of Nigerian youths are not lazy. The lack of creativity u are talking about can be linked to poor pry and secondary school systems most families are exposed to. You cant blame such families. My dad was a policeman and how much was his salary? He had me and my siblings to feed. He couldnt afford quality education for me. I had to work harder to get admission into a top FG university and came out with second class upper. Applied for jobs here and there and got one useless job with 35k as monthly pay. They almost killed me with straight 9 hours of work for five days. I worked there for two years before i ran away. I applied to join FG agencies but i knew no one. Senators, house rep members, top govt officials took away the positions. I even applied to join police. Na still man who know man system. I had to resort to freelancing. My brother, forget sentiments, my story is similar to that of millions of Nigerians. We have no right to condemn the average Nigerian youth. He has been thru a lot. I have seen it all. Most nigerian youths have to deal with poor electricity and expensive fuel. During the last fuel scarcity, i lost many jobs online due to poor electricity and unavailable and expensive fuel. My brother, some of us deal with poor internet connections and poor customer service treatments by telecoms and banks. What else do u want the average Nigerian youth to do? From nothing, some of us have built a world to eat at least. Bro, if i av a gun, i will gun down our entire leaders, not just Buhari. I am only hurt that Buhari made this comment. A man who can not stand treating him self in any Nigerian hospital. If you say of a fact that 60% of the people are lazy, why can't he just say 40% of Nigerian youths are highly and extremely resourceful people? Leave the listeners to make assumptions on the remainder (60%). Wouldn't you have achieved the same mathematical purpose by being more diplomatic? Do you know the effect of that statement on your own prospects? Which international organization having heard that statement from the No. 1 citizen would consider a "lazy" Nigerian youth for a meaningful role? But a majority are trying to make ends meet. We went to school in an already broken Educational system, but we still do TDB's because we want a better life.
How many youths write Jamb every year, how many of them even get addmission?

How can an incumbent president make such statements against it's citizen, let's call a spade, a spade there could have been better ways of addressing this issue and not the way he did...

I have worked in forests of Benue, Cross River , Nassarawa and stayed in the best of places in the States, UK, South Africa etc. I have killed scorpions and snakes and been ravaged by sandflies and bees.
