A fool at forty , they say is a fool forever.
Nigeria a great nation,
Where dirty politics are played,
Is most likely to be called a fool at fifty eight!
A graveyard of antiseptic,
That even an infant could tell of her filthiness

They talk of crimes, when they themselves are crimes.
They speak of errors,
when the whole system is an error herself.
Change!so they said,
But an antonym of change i think they meant.

The whole system is a farce, a bad joke
Each day comes with its own tale,
Today a missing budget,
Tomorrow an invasion in the National Assembly
With the mace stolen.
Who can tell what kind of comic tales awaits us in the future?
A theft they said,
but how can a thief christen others with his own name?

Dirty politics ,a child's play ,
A bastardization of actual democracy.
Why search for problems ,
When the investigator himself is the problem?
Genocides on the increase,
Economic recession the order of the day.

We have come a long way ,
From where we began,
We have played too far into the night.
Why not raise the flag of incorruptibility,
And let an operation sweep clean begin.
