That's your opinion. Nnamdi KANU has my respect and admiration 100% despite his excesses. No Igbo politician today is half as bold, and intelligent as he is.
Nnamdi Kanu is a bold and fearless young man who made the northern leaders pee in their panties

Abagworo:

I hate Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB with all my heart because they wasted an opportunity to develop Igbo consciousness on brainwash and deceit. They even went on to force Jewish identity on Igbos whereas Igbos know our roots and culture which is older and more complex. Nothing good came out of Kanu and no patriotic Igbo man rooted in Igbo culture regards him as anything better than a goat.

IPOB was just a mindless cult. A product of being driven more by emotion and mindless nationalistic fanaticism than developing a coherent strategy and assiduously working to accomplish the end objectives of that strategy. A mindless cult whose genius solution to the political challenges of Ndigbo was political disengagement and boycotts. A mindless cult who thought marching in the streets, making noise, behaving like thugs, insulting Nigeria and Nigerians and intimidating business owners was a substitute for political engagement with other aggrieved groups in the country to force change. A mindless cult that shamed their ancestors to embrace some Jewish fantasies than Nnamdi Kanu and his twisted acolytes were promoting and flying Israel flag around without shame.

The poor souls were led off a cliff by a charlatan who destroyed all the goodwill he attracted after his unlawful detention. Being the charlatan he is, he wasn't savvy enough to harness the goodwill he had attracted and one of the most significant political movements of my young lifetime which could have spurred real change to restructure this country if harnessed properly. Was funny also watching Chidoka, the most vocal supporter of IPOB in the Igbo political class register less than 2% of the votes in the Anambra elections. And those that should have voted for someone fighting for their interests were proud not to have voted. Because the mindless cult of Kanu were less interested in political change than making noise in the streets and on social media. A mindless cult through and through. Nigeria has never seen a more stuupid political movement.

What's your alternative to IPOB, or you're enjoying Nigeria as it's functioning upside down?

These are the hopeless ppl who go about claiming Igbos, but apart from cursing Nnamdi Kanu, ojukwu and Ekweremadu, they have zero suggestions on how to better Igboland. and they're are the first to throw insults. This man will never tie Nnamdi Kanu shoelaces, and his parents cannot stand on a street Ojukwu is passing, yet he will come here with his ewedu filled mouth and utter rubbish?

Sorry, dear, but no one but Igbos are causing the division among Igbos. Our national psyche is hardwired to combust in such a manner. If you spend all your time chestbeating to outsiders and telling yourselves how you're like a master race of niggas and gods gift to humanity, at a stage, that bitter divisiveness would be channeled inwards. I know you feel the same deep shame I feel when you have people from Anambra and Enugu and Imo and Abia and Ebonyi (and it's always Anambra and somebody else) squaring off with the same rhetoric as Igbos and Yorubas often do here. Not being able to overcome that shame, you seek to blame it on ghosts with conspiracy theories. The reality is a number of sick Igbos are the ones who cause the division. If you choose to chase ghosts rather than addressing the real roots of the problem, you're doomed to keep chasing the imaginary ghosts you've made up in your head.

Let’s do an experiment here, and as the nearest Anambra man here, we're going to use you as a lab rat

How many times have you stood outside on your balcony to chestbeat and remind all other Nigerians of how you are so much wiser, richer, stronger and handsome than them? How many times have you called out an ebonyi or Abia man on the street and tell him he's worthless? Have you ever cursed an Enugu man or call him 3rd class to his face?

Awaiting your response

Any alternative that does not involve a mindless cult who don't reason. Apart from the fact I never supported IPOB's stated objectives of independence, I could never quite understand what their strategy was. Okay, you want a plebiscite with independence as the agenda? What are your elected representatives doing to achieve this? Do you even know your elected representatives and have you spoken to them? How are you empowering people that speak for your interests in the political class? How many in the Igbo elite (intellectuals, businessmen, corporate executives, industrialists, clergy, politicians, entertainers etc) did you recruit to your cause? How widely did you consult with other aggrieved stakeholders in the Nigerian project to further support your cause? What are the boundaries of your Biafra and where should the plebiscite hold?

There were only 2 ways to achieve IPOB's objective: through the political process ensuring our elected representatives represent our will, or through the force of arms. They did neither. It was a whole lot of empty noisemaking on social media and in the streets, filled with insults of everyone and inciting hatred. They accomplished nothing and were never going to accomplish anything cos it was just a mindless cult.

who told u that Eritrea was allowed to go in peace. Go and read about the Civil War Eritrea fought and the last time I checked. Peace was made this year afta 29 years of bitter rivalry between Ethiopia and Eritrea. Eritrea is landlocked and the Ethiopians barred them from using the sea ports and placed troops there but still Eritrea was booming and later peace was made..

Eritrea is not landlocked, Ethiopia is landlocked and makes use of the Djibouti seaport

The way you intelligently articulate your views on Igbo issues with valid supporting examples, facts and incidences; leaves me wondering if you have Masters or PhD in Igbo Studies. It is surprising that you have a Pan Igbo world view and you are a promoter of Igbo unity and renaissance. This indicate that your opinion on Pan Igbo issues should be taken seriously.

What is funny is that you come from Anambra State where the two unreasonable anti Igbo urchins we have on this and other Igbo threads pretend to come from. Thumbs Up and Keep Up the Good Work !!!!

pazienza:
In a 2005 Igbo Day keynote speech titled, The Primacy of Political or Economic power: The Igbo Dilemma, Professor Anya O. Anya noted that:

“There is an inherent paradox and contradiction in the lgboman's place in Nigeria. On the one hand given his industry, his intelligence and his enterprise, the Igboman is a desirable gift to Nigeria and the stuff of which great nations and great civilizations can be built. On the other hand, given his presumptive confidence in his abilities and his unabashed hunger to succeed at whatever cost, he engenders fear and unwelcome visibility amongst his compatriots. His lack of subtlety, his drive to overcome and his insatiable "greed" for material progress engenders resentment and often inexplicable, and perhaps, undeserved hostility in the host communities. His "loud" style of Life and the facility with which he can adapt to and adopt new ways can also be unsettling to foreign cultural formations that have come in contact with the lgbo including the colonial masters. There is thus an underlying sense of conflict in the lgbo presence in Nigeria.”

Nnamdi kanu and IPOB achieved too much. It was only because of them that people saw the north for what they are. Politically, ipob got the whole of the south east to become aware of everything the FG would have wanted us to remain oblivious of. Nnamdi Kanu have so much history of old Nigerian political class and situations. At the end, he shook the country and made them all fart in their pants once again , something that has not happened since the days of the Ikemba.

Why should we fight a war? Are we in captivity like your fellow Nigerians want to believe? If we are truly equal partners in Nigeria, then there should be freedom to choose if we want to be here or not. Did your grandfather sign any treaties to join Nigeria?

What you wrote up there is what every northerner will write.
