IkpuMmadu:
There is no need to waste your energy trying to persuade or argue with anybody. The question here is which other ethnic group have had their identity bastardised like the Igbo word. It shows a concerted effort by the colonizers to stripe us of our identity, becos they know wat it means, whilst at the same time placing the star of David on Nigeria flag as a mark on our location. The symbol during that period was meant to reflect something unique about each of the country. Wat was unique about Nigeria was the Star of David. This is nothing new, the white Europeans went as far as defacing the statue in Egypt to conceal their African features. It is not today that they started to work on the psychology of the black man to make him thing and believe of himself as inferior. 1 Like

I also believe that the word Igbo is actually derived from Hebrew. Can anybody that disagree tell us where the word Igbo came from? I dont want to here coincidence becos each time I conduct research on Hebrew and Igbo, the coincidence is always too much. see my moniker on this thread to see coincidence of igbo and hebrew. the doubters demselves were left short of words. https://www.nairaland.com/3910549/some-igbo-words-same-meaning/3 |

prolog2: Aniomas are Edos you said, yet when Ojukwu appointed an Anioma man by the name Okonkwo, as the military administrator of newly created Bini republic, you Edo people kicked against it, and accused Ojukwu of foisting an Igbo man on you people, because you never considered Anioma people as one of you. But today, we are told Anioma is Edo, and all I can say is "bah yawa", it is left for the Anioma people to decide, I for one are more than fully contented with Republic of Igboland consisting only of SE. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Aziza is an Isrealite masculine name meaning strong concordance. However, the word origin is from Azaz. Azaz is part of speech and means strong or prevail. The word is deeply rooted in origin from Prime Root. Prime Root refers to the brooms of old. That was the broom used by Igbo not the current one u see with APC. http://biblehub.com/hebrew/5819.htm http://biblehub.com/hebrew/5810.htm

Now, u look at dat little researchh and say coincidence but wen u go further on research u will find that Igbo language have a lot of similarity with Hebrew that settled in Europe. Time and distance have seen some changes but the fact is the similarity are there. |

If Israel is looking for a Vassal state in Africa. If they are willing to accept support our liberation effort from the demonic grip of Nigeria, if claiming Jewish or converting to Jewish religion can help speed up the whole process, then I would say, bring it on. No price is too much for freedom, there is always room for future negotiations. Ojukwu was wary of making a young Biafra a vassal state of USSR, that's one of the reasons we lost the war. Yet today, USSR no longer exists, and people like Cuba who aligned with them to achieve their aims, are today free. We should avoid making a second mistake. I'm really curious to know whether Israel is in any bit interested in Biafra, or are they just temporarily using us to force Nigeria to drop their support for Palestine? Israel must know that in a world where almost everyone hates them, having a real ally who loves them not for economic or strategic reasons, but purely for fundamental reasons isn't bad. Looking at it all holistically, is Israel really free from USA control. Because we know that USA will always stand with Britain, and we all know that Britain still has strong ties with the Fulani gate keepers of Nigeria. 7 Likes 1 Share |

pazienza:Left to decide what? Pazienza you are one of the few people I respect on this forum, and that's due to the very astute, intelligent, and refined contributions you bring to matters concerning Alaigbo. But I'm personally offended as well as other Aniomas with genuine interest of our Igboness at heart that you will make a loose statement like that... what's there to decide? Are you already making concessions to the weak propaganda and lies of a few sells outs against us, and the useless Nigerian government agents that try to divide us? Are you more Igbo than me and other Anioma people representing Igbo with pride world wide? We should be careful about that statements we make, cause we give our enemies more ammunition to perpetuate their mischief. Ignore that Edo lowlife troll and let's focus on more important matters that affect the Igbo nation... Daalu. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Here is the link for Ayin. The name of the letter is ayin, a Semitic word meaning eye http://www.ancient-hebrew.org/alphabet_letters_ayin.html We are talking Ancient Hebrew that is different from modern Hebrew. Match Igbo words to Ancient Hebrew with a abit of institutional level research and u will be surprised at wat u find. |

Israel isn't going to do anything to Nigeria, it's just fantasy, Nigeria exists because the global players, US, UK, France, etc. are happy for it to be like that, these countries like single markets they can control and operate in, in general the world isn't looking for new countries which would mean new competition (especially China and India). Many people attach superstitious attachments to Israel, Israel is what it is through planning and alliance with the interests of the US and Western Europe, they are a market for westerners, and they check the power of Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries. Apart from that, Israel doesn't move the world like the US does. Besides all that, Africans are black which means you are checked for exploitation, Israelis are white, which means they are allowed some room in the system. If you go under Israel you will be a puppet state and Israel isn't going to take on a big daddy role for free. You will also be huge targets for the whole world that hates Israel, but without the funding from the US (because you're black) and it would also be quite humiliating. 3 Likes |

Bane2020: Ikechukwu. You of all people know fully well that I have no issue with Aniocha/Oshimili people, I belong to Oshimili and Aniocha facebook pages, and I know they are very much proud IGBO people, particularly Asaba. But once we use the name "Anioma", we would be inviting Ukwuani and Ika people. You and I know that Ika people have a very strong predilection for Edo, while Ndokwa/Ukwuani are strongly pushing for independent ethnic nationality of their own and are more interested in playing the minority politics of Niger delta, alongside their Isoko and Urhobo neighbors than uniting with Ndiigbo. I respect you alot too. Though I know you already know that. I apologize for any unintended hurt my initial post might have caused you. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Igbo people that deny being Igbo in Rivers and Delta. Is it Hebrew they will not deny? But if u are going to deny, do so with dignity. Aziza is broom in Igbo, zaa is sweep. We are talking Aziza, they move it to Zaa. Just becos the truth and evidence is too close for comfort. Some of our Igbo people need psychiatric help. |

ezeagu: If u are confused, say so. We will explain over 2000 years of Igbo history to u. Before 1948, Isreal did not sxist. Hebrew people were scattered across Europe, and the world and were oppressed. Majority kept they faith and culture as evident in Igbo land at Obu gad. They obviously intermarried with other groups but the genetics can still be traced. However, the Igbo case is different becos, we were never Jews but Hebrew. Judaism was started in Ancient Israel. |

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-45938456 Read this last paragraph of BBC News report. Yet another coincidence? Some researchers also point to cultural similarities between Igbo and Jewish people: they circumcise their male children, name them after eight days and also have a seven-day mourning period. 1 Like |
