"Nwa abakaliki", on the streets of onitsha denotes everything negative but Onitsha is a shit.hole compared to abakaliki
In case you are not aware, many ebonyi families sell their kidneys just to sponsor one of their family members to come live and work in onitsha.

Remember this project I posted on this very page on the 21st of April this year, today August 31st, roofing has been completed, all plastering and windows and doors fixed and ready to paint in only 4 months! Which government has ever done this in Nigeria?

This is Uburu, Ohaozara LGA of Ebonyi state.
Umahi focused more on his home town Uburu and Abakaliki while other part of the state rot. Visit Ivo or even Afikpo and you will understand my position. No major projects going in other LGA, apart from the state capital and his home town. You are free to prove me wrong.

I am happy that this thread has reached page 100. Congratulation to all those who have made and sanely followed useful updates and contribution while MORE KNOCKS to the heads of m0rons and other shameless village clowns who have tried yet failed to derail this wonderful pan Igbo thread with their senseless and idlotic posts, insults and senseless display of immaturity and stup1dity.

My appeal is that we should continue to make useful and sensible updates and participate to this thread as well as try to bring our investment home, be more aggressive in repelling false news and narrative against Ndi Igbo and Igbo interests and GO BEYOND WORDS IN PROMOTING IGBO UNITY AND INTEGRATION.

I appeal to the unintelligent, insane and immature thread contributors to try and act more sensible, sane and matured, going forward bearing in mind that the time has come for all parts of Igbo land to grow, develop and work in unity as a team.

He is doing many roads in Afikpo, I had already posted it on the last few pages. Besides, how much is Ebonyi allocation for us to expect him to work in every town in Ebonyi state? I have shown or seen projects here from;

Abakaliki
Amasiri
Ugwulangwu
Isu
Okposi
Onicha Igboeze
Afikpo
Nkalagu
Ishiagu

And these are places I passed, not that I was guided. I saw about 3 different concrete roads done in Ishiagu too, and Ishiagu is in Ivo. We should appreciate the man biko.

See a drainage project in Abakaliki under construction, very deep and can take a bigger flow of water out of the city.
This is what Wike need to do in Rivers State. Especially the flood prone area. Create massive drainage and link them up to Choba River, and the flood in the city will disappear.

lol one thing about Nigerian cities is how close their street lights are to each other. It's a waste lol. You could cover 3x the area if you put those lights 3x further apart from each other. It's like having a room in a house with a string of light fixtures 3 feet away from each other.

Development is easy, doing it the right way is the trick

Having three street should be a waste of money. Just two is okay to serve motorists.

Imagine an investor that is very impressed with this thread and is very encouraged with the things that he or she was seeing about Igboland. Then all of a sudden they get to the part where you and Ofodirinwa posted gruesome pictures including pictures of dead and beheaded people. Do you think that investor will feel encouraged to invest in Igboland after that?
Please go back to those pages and delete those pictures you posted. Lets bring back respect and sanity to this thread. Thank you

The development in Ebonyi is going the right way.

That's good, it's a small detail but I see it everywhere. You can spread the lights out and get more coverage.

this is a good model. Any light great work and revolutionizes the living environment but I think we can cover more area if we change our approach. The reason I say the 'right development' is putting them too close makes lighting a street more expensive by a margin. If you quantify that region-wide that small margin adds up and suddenly we're spending on lights what we could have spent on lights and schools or lights and roads.

This is what I mean, they're 3-4 steps apart from each other. This is wasteful. Anyone that knows how light works will know that there's no reason for them to be this close

. With what exist in almost all Nigerian cities including Lagos and Abuja,it is not all about the space between the lights but entirely about the quality of the bulbs. The newest public street lighting technology is tilting towards white lights as against the dull yellow ones. The yellow lights are sodium vapour lamps. They are more energy efficient but the emerging white LED lights are brighter and their illumination cover more surface area. Refer to the attached picture for instance.

I'm i the only one that is thinking that Enugu should stop playing safe and should actually try to build a few white elphant projects to give the city a new outlook. I mean go the route of Akwa Ibom or Cross River and built something gargantual that will finally put Enugu where it is supposed to be. I also think there should be a concerted effort at attracting investors into the state to provie employment and increase the purchasing power of Enugu residents. Are you aware that there's no functional cinema in Enugu while the one in Owerri is still functional and you would think that Enugu people will have more purchasing power.
