Develpeast: So, it's now up to Igbos to work on themselves before others identity with them? What have they worked on themselves to make you chase after them, both individually and as a group? So as Igbos start working on themselves , Ikwerres can be claiming to originate from Bini , and by the time we are through with developing ourselves(whatever that means) , they will suddenly lose the Bini heritage and finally have Igbo ancestors once again? Some of you joke for a living. FYI, Igbo people will always do well for themselves just for the sake of it. Those of you that will do well just to get the recognition of people that aren't worth shit themselves . Enough of these esteem issues. I don't even know what's so special about that group that's making some of you run mad, people that hate you in addition! 4 Likes 1 Share |

InyinyaAgbaOku: You couldn't have put it any better. Our IPOB people suffer from extreme case of low self esteem. These people would do anything to get these non Igbos to accept Biafra or Igbo tag. I had asked them repeatedly, of what use is a brother who would not identify with you because you are supposedly weak, and gives you the condition that he can only be comfortable identifying with you, only and when you must have built yourself strong? My answer is that such a brother is useless and not needed by anyone. A brother is only a brother because he can identify with you when you are weak. Because, let's face it, once you are strong, rich and influential, the whole world will identify with you, in which case you don't need such useless brother. Substitute You with Ndiigbo (SE) and the brother with Igbo denying Igboids in SS. And you see why I don't regard them at all. 6 Likes 1 Share |

superlightning: How do you explain the fact that Ikwerre people you lots claim, has repeatedly through their apex socio-cultural organization, Ogbakor Ikwerre, denied having any link with you? When some one rejects you, and yet, you keep clinging unto the person, including threatening and cursing your brothers who know you deserve better, and keep telling you to leave this person alone, what would you call such behavior, does it look normal to you? "Ikwerre is not Igbo" - Ogbakor Ikwerre 'Ikwerre migrated from Bini" - Celestine Omehia ( Ogbakor Ikwerre chieftain) "Ikwerreland is not part of Biafra, we are not Ibos"- Ikwerre people. Now see how IPOB reacts to this Ikwerre must be Igbo Ikwerre migrated from Nkwerre Imo state Ikwerre and Igweocha is Biafraland. What do we call this, if not extreme case of inferiority complex? When someone rejects you, the right thing to do if you are psychologically normal, is to move on from the person. 8 Likes 1 Share |

ckenneths: Africans are so ffuccking mentally and psychologically inferior. Why do we allow these buses to use the road side as a parking space, its dirty, unkempt and dangerous. This is very simple, clear a freaking forest, pour concrete on the ground and charge these motorists to park in that place. The way the average black man reason is sickening, even the average black American is no different. I have a feeling the black race is still developing into a full human. Obiano lives in America, as a matter of fact I know the gated community where he lives in the spring area of Houston yet he allowed this mess to continue in his father's land...May almighty God give me the opportunity to hold a post in Anambra, I will correct the sensibility of the average black man. 5 Likes |

It's just a shame that for the first time as a member of nairaland, I got myself engaged in a verbal exchange with a riffraff and the result was my getting banned for two weeks. It killed me because I have never been banned for breaking any rules before until last week Saturday, and also because my absence felt like a victory to my assailant. But sometimes a ban makes one learn a lesson the hard way. So I'm now angry with myself for trying to be neutral all the time or trying to join a usual bandwagon here by always blackmailing certain true Igbo sons who we see as enigmatic with the name "Afonja". God knows that I wouldn't have learnt my lessons if a low lifer had not called me one just last week. So here is what I have learnt! 1. I would never join in calling others with different viewpoints with the tag "Afonja. So my apologies goes to the underlisted names. a. Abagworo - This dude is more like a brother to me geographically but my disagreement with you started way back in 2013 when you were always fond of bringing Imo state into a battle with Chino that you always lose psychologically. b. Free globe c. Yeske - I've joined in calling you Afonja before, but I still marvel at your convictions even when it's against the Igbo interest. I apologize personally. d. Nonsowow - I still wonder if you're really Igbo, maybe yes or not. But whose business is it. However I won't call you Afonja again. e. Super lightning f. Chino - even though I despise your divisive tendencies it still baffles my imagination why you do what you do. Most especially against fellow Igbos not of Anambra state and against my state Imo with Abagworo as your eternal rival since close to a decade. Also to the likes of Obiageli and Berem till I found out that both our villages in Orlu has a close proximity. I apologize to all those in time past, not because that I was accused by a riffraff but because none of you owe anyone an apology to your political standpoint. Still I endear all of us to still put Igbo interest first in wherever we find ourselves, because it helps to do so. 2. I won't call some people with thuggish attitude IPOB touts again. We still have nice and matured IPOBians as noblezone who I admire a lot despite our political linings. 3. I'm changed person now, and for those who think they can insult themselves or bully their selves online, I welcome your trouble. Let's ride. 1 Like |

pazienza:I'm happy that people are now beginning to speak. I've lived in PH and I;m very familiar with this issue. Deep down, every Ikwerre know they are igbo but will NEVER accept it until when it's convenient for them. Take Rotimi Amaechi for example, he never admitted to be igbo until just recently when he started playing national politics. I personally don't like Ikwerre people, the way they despise igbos. I wonder why any sane igbo man will want to attach to these lazy uneducated lots. Why can't we call their bluff the way they call our bluff. Ikwerre is a minority group and igbos keep embarrassing themselves with this set of people. The funny thing is their are still people in Rivers State that accept their igboness, like the Oyigbo axis, Oyigbo is like a typical igbo community on any good day and they are one of the marginalized communities in Rivers State. If the misguided igbos can use the same energy they use in claiming Ikwerre people to empower these communities to take over power in Rivers State, Ikwerre will come begging. They have no option. Ikwerre should be the ones begging us to accept them not the other way round. Many times, most igbos act emotionally and dont think 6 Likes 1 Share |

globemoney01: Nwokem, Don bi silly! I lash at Obi in areas where he failed woefully and i praise him in areas as education, health and linking Anambra with roads where he achieved a feat. As for his V.P nomination, you cannot count 5 Igbo people today qualified to rule Nigeria without mentioning Peter Obi. We should learn to speak the truth when people tried their best and condemn them where they failed. Again, i will repeat it here as i have said numerous times. Not Peter Obi nor any politician has enough money to buy my conscience. I will however like to chop their money if you can give me some. As 2019, the choice is clear. Vote for Nigeria to continue to stagnate under the dullard and the massive slaughter which the herdsmen will resume once the Jan-jaweeed nomad wins OR Vote for economic prosperity and re-emergence of Nigeria that will regain it's place as Africa's most prosperous and fastest developing country. 2 Likes

hammerF: If i was not truly Igbo, perhaps what some people say would get to me. But all the guys that we went to CIC with, all my guys we grew up at Onitsha and we still discuss Anambra and SE progress today know that my parents were born in what is known as Anioma and i grew up in what is known as Enugu and Anambra states. These states formed me, i speak the dialect better than my hometown dialect. So, no shrimp can wish that away. My problem with SE politics is that we are too fixed at a position and thus become what Americans call "sitting ducks". Once we start saying something and circumstances change, we don't change with the changing times. We tend to stay where we are and continue saying what has become outdated by recent events. We know that Igbo will be better in a restructured Nigeria than a landlocked Biafra. Those that doubt that iam a staunch IPOB supporter can go here and read my posts: https://www.nairaland.com/cjrane/posts/23 https://www.nairaland.com/cjrane/posts/20 I started pushing for a UN sponsored referendum on the Biafra question under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights instead of our people to pick up arms. I also disagreed that boycotting elections in a country like Nigeria where rigging is second nature should be a strategy. Each time you boycott, they will simply use the opportunity to rig in the worst types of characters. If Boycott must be an option, then it has to occur in at least 13 states simultaneously. That way, the constitutional 25% votes in 24 states will become impossible to meet. Boycotting elections in just 5 SE states is political suicide by those who do not understand the 1999 constitution which we operate. My strategy have been simple 1. VOTE MASSIVELY FOR A CANDIDATE that will at-least table the issue of devolution of powers (So called Restructuring) 2. If conditions in Nigeria become unbearable, resist the urge to pick up a weapon, instead - Agitate for a UN or AU supervised referendum on the Biafra question Right now, we have a chance to make number 1 a reality. Therefore, our plan A must be to mobilize massively to get Plan A. Believe me, Plan B (#2) should be the last resort because it is not as favorable as plan A. Even though most youths think once we are in Biafra, every problem in the world suddenly disappear and we magically have $1 trillion dollars to budget every year for 10 years and build Dubai overnight. Nwanne, it won't be that easy initially and a lot of youths shouting Biafra now won't even have the patience to allow the new Biafran government find it's foot. They will be rioting everyday and want money to fall from heaven to provide everything they need. I know they won't understand what i'm saying now, but i know option #1 is our best option so far. 5 Likes 1 Share |
