Ever since Tonto Dike joined Nollywood, she has progressively moved from one rung of the ladder of success to the other and has featured in virtually all the movies released so far.

At one point, it was alleged that her romance with a certain movie director brought her to the limelight. Yet nobody seems to deny the fact that she is a talented actress.

Aside Tonto's soaring fame as a great actress, it appears that scandals have stuck to her like a second skin.

She has been described as bi-sexual and said to have been reduced to a punching bag by her man. Also she was said to have fought over a lover and taken to smoking and drinking, as if those vices were going out of fashion.

In spite of the effect of these stories, which she denied at different times, on her image, the lady doesn't seem to mind the scandals and rumours any longer.

Recently, the grapevine came alive with yet another gist.

Life and Beat gathered that Tonto, who has been alleged to have fallen head-over-heels in love with marijuana, recently collapsed on the set of a new movie.

It was alleged that the pretty actress from the Niger Delta had more than her fair share of the weed and collapsed. It took the intervention of her colleagues on set to revive her .

For two consecutive days, Life and beat tried to reach Tonto for on the phone to confirm the story, but on ecah occasion strange people picked up the calls and said she was busy on set.

Look at the misinformation in that story. I'm not saying that they should advocate ganja use, but for eff's sake since when has smoking weed made anyone collapse?

Nigerians can be a very hypocritical set of people. Smoking weed is such a sin, ok, but yet they idolise men who are well known to be ganja smokers. Look at fela Kuti and Bob Marley. Their weed smoking was never held against them at all.


Not saying Tonto should smoke, but the double standard stinks.

I agree, Nigerians are hypocrites. Its ok to point and judge others because their sin is in the open but many of them commit horrible atrocities in secret. As Jesus rightly said "He/she who is without sin cast the ist stone" I thought as much yall are deep sinners
